Hi there

Couple of things to look out for

On the Takata badge - Double stitching both sides
Serial number - F1501 genuine item
Buckles - spring loaded
The Green label - should be green on the inside
The box - should have a serial number sticker and it should have a yellow dot sticker not a white printed one

The new copies now come with the star screws on the back of the buckles, but the weight is lighter.

My opinion - good copy

Thanks ek9danz I guess I might have a fake copy, however the green lable is green on the inside too, the white sticker is actually a sticker too just white color and their is a serial number but its on the bottom of the box Ill post a pic. Im still not sure now

Thanks LoganK I have watched the video and mine seem to match the authentic ones the only differences are the yellow sticker and the f1501 serial and my carbon fiber patch in the middle is shiny, however my buckle does seem kinda light im not sure how heavy it should be, I am really confused and I can't believe that their are scum bags out there who make fake harnesses this is really serious people's lives could be in danger I paid alot for these harnesses about 1200$. I have sent Takata these photos hopefully they will reply and if they do I will let you all know

I think yours could be real especially for the price you paid but I could be wrong. However, a replicated harness doesn't necessary mean it's unsafe. The quality just isn't as good as the authentic ones. The replicated ones can definitely still save your life if it's still in good condition.

just checked mine...those that you posted are a reeallyyy good copy...
i can take a picture of mine tomorrow...

Thanks for all your help guys maybe I took it a little too far on my last post but I am just really disappointed that I might have a replicated harness because for the price I paid I was expecting the real thing, and riseVTEC It would be great if you could post some pics of your harness and maybe could you please give me an estimation of how heavy your buckle weighs because mine is kinda light im not sure if it should be like that. Thats one sweet looking ek you got there Michael.

Hello everyone.
I'm writing from Japan, My friend is TAKATA employee.
This SgTSALIM's harness is GENUINE.

Tag 2019 means made in 2014, there is FIA hologram tag on left shoulder belt.
SgTSALIM, if you could ask to FIA, with hologram number ADxxxxx, they might help you.

And to the other members, please do not spread wrong information.
F1051 = Genuine, F1501 = super copy

If we said too much mention to F1501, fake factory might change the number to F1051.
I know the other point to judge it, but I cannot write it for avoiding updating super copy.

I can understand people want to believe F1501 is genuine, but unfortunately it is super copy.

judging by what I can see of the cam lock they look fake...although it might just be the lighting and im mistaken

any pictures of the box?

The best way to identify a fake is to look at the FIA date tab of fabric on the harnesses. The genuine ones are made from green fabric but all fakes are white fabric coloured green so look on the back and if it's white they are fake
