Hello everybody

i am guessing quite a few of you guys have already changed your synchros and bearings.
I am going to do this too, and have decided to buy Carbon rebuild kit from synchrotech + both diff bearings.

Now i wonder if any of you know which manufacturer do bearings for synchrotech? SKF? Koyo? or any other?

also do you suggest any other rebuild kit, like Mfactory or anything else?
I am using my car just for racing, and will do max 2000km/year . I am using ATS 1.5 way diff.

also do members of ek9.org have any special discount from synchrotech, since they have their banner on this forum?

Hope any of you can answer my question.

cheers

I would normally recommend the shorter M-Factory gear set. Great bit of kit :)

All of the gearbox bearings from the syncrotech kit are NTN and thats what Honda put in the box from the factory.

Syncrotech have always been 100% to deal with in my experience

i bought mfactory carbon synchros, bearings kit and it came with synchrotech label on it so its same kit mate :) great piece of kit

MFactory R&D = Synchrotech. It is our R&D Facility in San Dimas.

Synchrotech Synchros = Honda OEM synchros with carbon coating
Synchrotech Bearings = Honda OEM Bearings (aka NTN)

Our synchros are not oem. They use a custom brass compound with a more aggressive lock angle and a full carbon-fibre lining (NOT a coating).

Bearings are same as oem.

Yeah it would be pretty hard for MFactory to purchase Honda synchro's, line them, and then them still cost less than Honda!
