I'll be there about 2ish, maybe before, so i'll just turn up and look for you guys

Hi guys...
My name is Steve, i met a few of you today at SRR.

It was good to see what my little SOHC D16 actually produced, but it was a shame that it was allot less than i was expecting. :((
I don't know if anyone else is posting pics or vids of the event, but i thought i'd be the first to post my results.

Standard EP2:
108 BHP @ 5600rpm
111 FtLb Torque @ 4300rpm

My EP2 with intake and exhaust mods:
133.9 BHP (109.2 WHP) @ 6500rpm (redline)
118 FtLb Torque @ 3200rpm

It was a bit embarrassing running after you guys with your B16 and B18's, but i enjoyed the day. You all seemed like a good bunch of lads.

I've got an American D17 ECU sat at home waiting to be fitted. This will allow me to raise my rev limit from 6500rpm to 7500rpm and give me a nice bit of extra power. :)

See how it feels at Combe Steve, the tyres will be a big help, then decide what you want to do.

Any more figures?

Iain, how did yours compare against TDI?

good to meet you steve pretty good figures considering the engine best she pretty quick on track with all that light weight editions specially the polly windows :) chris toddy had more power than a dc5 with stage 3 cams but ill let him post results.....

Sounds good, saw the DC5 results on their forum.

How was yours, another 176...were you king of the B16 again?!!

yep and 10 more torque this time so now 120 torque prob due to heat wrap and highflow cat not king this time martins came in at 182@fly!!! this was the one that made poor figures last year! :0 so i was no2 of the b16's

I am over the moon! Last year my car made 155@fly. This year it got 182@fly and 150@wheels.

Amazing what a good service, new fuel filter and air intake can do for a car.

I am also convined that b series engines get better with age. Mine has done 110,000 miles and still pulls like a dream!

Mine made 248.8 bhp with about 160ftlb of torque. i knew the tdi rollers are a bit optimistic, but i allways go by the bum in seat test!:))
