spoon springs/dampers combo.

that seems like a bit much for fixed dampers that are used. can you not get an adjustable set for around 500 pounds?

Ya, tbh its more out of curiousity as to the combo, Im going to be doing a couple of trackdays with the standard car before I decide what to go for :)

I think it's too much money, but since I don't live in the UK, I don't know if that cheap for you.

But for a little more you can get the tein basic damper, If you're going to buy a suspension, I recommend you to buy a full coil overs suspension, so you can adjust height and damper hardness.

fyi basic is not damping adjustable, grab a set of tein mono flex :nice: or if your really on a budget TEIN SS.

this is good info for me as well.

So saying on a budget Tein SS?

is this not as high quality as more expensive Tein?

or is it just less feature?

i mean how does the price really reflect the quality/ride/ability? on a Tein

TEIN SS uses stock upper mounts, its a twintube shock and is only damping and ride height adjustable. and is a street set up.

TEIN mono FLEX comes with pillow upper mounts, its a monotube shock (better quality) and is damping, ride height, and preload adjustable. you can alter ride height without altering shock travel. used for entry level track use.

basically monoflex is higher quality and more features.

blinx: by putting the spoon springs on the oem ek9 shocks, will ruin the suspension balance?
cheers

sorry my mistake, blinx :blinx: is correct, tein basic damper , its not adjustable.

If you're serious about tracking the car, or even like to have a car that performs predictably and responsively while giving you choices with adjustment, you will want a nice damper rebound adjustable-preload-and ride height adjustable coilover. I recommend PIC Performance Select coilovers over everything in the same price range.

ive seen you recommend these quite a few times Dino, are these available in the uk by any chance? and do they go with thejdm lcas?
cheers

the PIC will fit the ctr lca but NOT the ITR lca. they are indeed pretty good, pretty much just like tein monoflex.

Highly probable Il go for coilovers, my last car had the KW V2 coilovers-height/damping/camber adjustment, they were excellent, just curious, thanks people :nice:
