Hi Guys,

If i bought a spoon b-pipe would i then only need to buy a back box (thinking about the Spoon N1 or BC Spec 4) or would i need the b-pipe and then the full system exhaust?

Cheers
Chris

I think you only need to buy the back box.

from my knowledge i think it goes

Mani->cat->b-pipe->backbox(muffler)

no that wont replace your cat to the best of my knowlege. just after buying one jus waiting for it to arrive.

as above
mani-cat-b pipe- tailpipe

the b-pipe is installed from your cat backwards. i hve it installed with the Spoon Street type back box. :nice:

b-pipe will connect to stock cat. To replace the cat u will need a de-cat pipe [pic below]...

the manifold then being the last upgrade to exh system.

Ok. So what are the benefits of havin a b pipe instead of just buying for example a full system spoon n1 or bc spec IV?

none, the exhuast system should be upgraded as a whole, spoon is the only company who sells seperate exhuast components and they only do it to make money

blinx you mean no gains apart from a full system? meaning from exhaust Manifold downward?

or you mean just like a b-pipe or back box on its own?

would i still notice performance gain from a Cat back system.

thanks

hmmm, is B-pipe refered to as a resonator? That pic looks like its just a resonator(hotdog). If it is then I've got 3 large and long ones on my custom system, it'll just deepen the sound.

haha no, b-pipe is the part of the exhuast from the back of the cat to right before the back box, so like from under your shifter to your gas tank.

just a cat back should have some minor noticable power, but a b-pipe alone is worthless imo. get a catback and a good manifold and you should be happy, you dont have to do both at once though :)

Doh!! I learnt something new... if theres no benefit, then what is its purpose? Making money for suppliers?

spoon is the only company that sells there header and catback in 2 seperate pieces, they do it for 1 reason $$$$ people will think its not so expensive if they spend $500 on a bpipe and $500 on a back box, they think they bouht 2 things but in reality you just spend 1000 on a catback system  its just marketing.
