Skunk2 MegaPower cat back exhaust

The middle section of my standard jordan exhaust has just snapped so was thinking about getting one of these?
Anybody recommend it or any other systems?

id recommend them highly

only downsides are they look kinda wank from behind as they havent got any jap tilt and the backbox tip is slash cut which i dont like

but they make great power and thats why i have one

they are in the louder scale of exhausts but if that worries you then buy the silencer bung...they do a great job in reducing the noise and they ya can take the bung out if you want to make some noise

Is yours the 70mm one? and do you have any pics up on this of yours from behind just so i have an idea what it would look like?

i have the 2.5inch also. good exhaust. a bit on the noisey side. here a pic of mines on the floor. I think it looks and sounds alright from the drivers seat

i have the 60mm one

its plenty big for most setups...a 70mm is overkill on most cars but without knowing the spec of your car i cat tell you which to go for.

but the 70mm will be louder
 
I have the 60mm one. I love it! its got such I nice tone and the i think it looks pretty good. not had my car on a dyno so can't really comment on the performance difference, although it is a lot lighter than a standard system.
 
so the 60mm would be the better choice?

was looking to buy the tegiwa 4 2 1 mani and 2.5" decat to go with it, so hopefully id get some decent gains!
 
I read that the 60mm is for naturally aspirated engines such as the B16 and the b18. the 70mm is meant for high powered naturally aspirated such as a high comp B18 or a K20. and the 76mm is designed for forced induction engines.

Yeah think il go for the 60mm!
Does that mean a 2.5" decat would be a direct fit?

yes 60mm is 2.5 inch

you should see some very good gains over a standard system

dont want to get your hopes up but id be expecting a good 10-15hp from just bolting them all on
 
I had one on my Dc2 , it was a little loud (2.5") but i got use to it and it sounded great !

i have to agree though they dont look very appealing from behind
 
Its a good exhaust but my god its loud! lol sounds epic though when you give it some.
 
The megapower R was insanely loud on my b20, 114db @ 4100rpm. Had to wear 2 set's of ear defs on longer trips to protect the ears lol

I'd rec' a fujitsubo rm01A or legaris R anyday though..
 
sorry to hijack your thread but would a skunk2 megapower backbox that came off a jordan fit and ek9?

Yea Lee, and RR is the 3", way to loud imo, im thinking of swapping the backbox out on mine for a vibrant street muffler or something,
 
Just fit a 70mm Skunk2 system paired to their Alpha manifold, sound is immense, very loud system but build quality is spot on.
 
I have an RR, its loud! Its now off the car and in the garage collecting dust. Its very heavy too.
