Hi, any one running a alpha rad? Thinking of ordering one just want to hear people's views on them?

I want the half length one, what are the core dimensions?

Yeah i have one. Got it off tegiwa . Its being in the car a few months. Works perfect and ive yet to hear the fan kick in, cant be faulted imo. I can take a pic of it fitted if u wanna see what its like?

I need a half length, and unfortunately the koyo half length is to thick to fit

If its not to much trouble could you measure it's thickness?
 
No bother ill get some tomorrow. Id advise using a slim fan with it and making up some brackets yourself instead of mounting the fan with the clips that go through the fins in order not to damage them.
 
Get a block-off plate going on your half rad and it will be more efficient.

Other than that it looks good buddy!

you need a plastic cover you don't run a/c so you need this cover
it helps the back of radiator to remove hot air faster and its work better.

also you need and a fan shroud so your fan does its job more efficient when its on.

havent seen a skunk2 radiator from close but it looks like they copyed some old ebay chinese radiators my mates H22 and ek4 turbo runs these ebay stuff several years and both hold pretty good.

i think s2 made these more efficient :nice:
i'm also thinking to try one of these skunk2 radiators

i want to ask you what type of cap thy use ?

I was looking at these radiators but ended up going with the mishimoto half length as I'm not the biggest skunk2 fan personally and it came with a lifetime warranty, purchased it new for 186 delivered.

Quality is great apart from I didn't like the look of the cap and looks better than the skunk2 imo.

Skunk2 - best overall package with a nice looking cap.
Mishi - lifetime warranty but a little more expensive

If you think the Mishi is 'better' quality than the Skunk2 or even TEGIWA you are sadly mistaken. They are all the same, take a look at the TEGIWA cap, its exactly the same as Mishi. Ours, Skunk2 and Mishi are all made in the same Asian factory.

Why do you think Mishi can offer a lifetime warranty? Its not because the product is faultless, its because they can supply 3 to you before they even start to lose money.
 
Thing is with most of these aluminium rads they are all bar the koyo made in the same factory only with diffrent caps and logos pressed in the side, I got mine from ebay but did not pay the middle man mark up

Spot the diffrence other than the an fittings I welded on.
