Gets good reviews search for "ultimate ebay header showdown" and you'll see all the results of the headers you mentioned being compared.

They do require a slim line fan on the radiator or you can cut up the plastics on your existing fan.

Will probably get one myself :nice:

you are using mugen iirc ?

i run rmf on my 1.8 i'm gonna try toda or hytech soon...
my tuner wasn't happy with my results and told me was the header...

go toda or toda rep it works good even on b19 kings motorsport builds.

I dont see why a Hytech cant have good ground clearance, have you contacted them to see what they could knock up? A good fabricator should be able to build you what you want.

i agreee with chris
TBH I ran a MFactory Tri Y ( so similar to hytech ) on my B20 and didnt have much problems at all tbh. Car was daily driven and pretty low

I run an RMF and the torque difference is unreal! I ran a 5zigen before hand and this has nothing on it!

The ports are 2" rather than the 1.75" on the 5zigen

Excellent choice and cant fault it one bit and cant wait to get it tuned :)

with hytech replica you need to remove itr/ctr transmission stiffener brace or modificate it like this guy here or use a gsr one or none at all :))

i would'nt touch it for 2-3 ps in midrange

Hmmmmm maybe header are not so important for a couple of measly whp...

I'm short of about 20whp imo

I think tama666 means, trade off the full size radiator for big power and a half size radiato r??

Would a decent half size rad be up to the job ? .. is a full width essential ? i genuinely mean the question lol, I've never ran the power you are so i don't have experience in cooling an engine of that spec ?

Yeah i definitely need a fulld width rad 1 lap around the ring is enough to keep water temps at a stable 85-90 but the minute you stop it sky rockets.

I have a 19 row oil cooler also and i would rather trade of my power to ensure the engine is not overheating.

Still baffled though as to why my car will not make power after 8000rpm...

Fair enough ian, as i said havent tracked a car so was un aware...

I was under the impression toda c cams made power up top...
hmmm..........

I have read what i can

Some b18's with these cams are stopping power at 8300-8800 b16's more 9000-9500

Mine peaks at 8k and that's it. :-(

How can I test the fuel pump?

I think it is the compression is to high

Couldn't tell you.

Nothing was picked up on when it was tuned.

Could it be the head not being ported and flowed? Is it the
Compression is so high we can't optimise the cam timing?

Already got the final drive. It's great fun to drive just dissapointing in the way it makes the power really was expecting a high revving animal.

the inlet ports are plenty big, if the exhaust ports are opened up then it helps with unleashing the gains of a trick header

between our builds, it really is just the compression, manifold and head that are "majorly" different.............

shame you are so far away, otherwise we could go race and compare the difference in the 2 cars power wise :p

Could it be a mismatch between the compression and cams?

What power did it make?

I very much doubt its your header.
With Toda C's (which are designed to make full power in the midrange and all they way up high) you need to dial in the cams before any initial tuning work is done. Do you have the dial in charts for the cams?.....
If you have a dyno plot, which shows a peak in power and torque early-mid rpm range then the cams could be dialled in incorrectly. This is possible in your case.
Other possibilities...you might not have enough compression to optimise the camshaft capability?.....
Injectors could be maxing out?..........
