Cheers mate,

Here's where I'm at now guys.

I've installed all the valve springs & retainers & LMA's

Test fitted the cams to ensure they spun nice and freely...

I'd advise anyone who ever changes a cam to check whether or not they spin nice and freely. If they don't then you run the the risk of snapping the cam and maybe damaging the head as well.

If the heads installed then you can simply push the rocker arm shafts out of the distributor side of the head and drop the rocker ams. It should take a extra 10 - 15 minutes at the most..

I've nearly reassembled the gearbox as well. I just need to get that DAMN snap ring to seat properly. I'll be giving it a shot later when I get home... hopefully it doesn't take me to long lol.

Where did you get that spring compressor or is it homemade?

Looks sooo easy to use, is it just me or do you think the b series heads are really deep?

Euroexports.com, if you look close enough then you can see it on the compressor. Yes I do think it's deep, it can be a pain at times..

finally your nearly there engine looks the shizz rich watched this from the start savage build credit to you for taken something like this on man

Cheers mate, I got the engine fired up again last night for round two. My engine management light is on for some dumb reason so I need to investigate that. After that, it's head gasket testing time haha.

Did you make your own gasket?

Yeah, I drilled apart 2 old OEM gaskets and used the middles out of them inside a new OEM gasket. I took the car for a drive last night and it seems to of worked well. The engine feels VERY strong. I'm soooooo glad it worked!!

P.S. I felt like I should of been on "Blue Peter" making this gasket haha.

Great job!!
Envy the simplicity of the fix for you lol I have to gut the block again

That's a REAL KILLER specially if it's only just gone in. I wouldn't be happy if I had to do that.

Well looking at the bright side I can now clean and paint it all now Easyer
Who will be mapping your car?
