Rich777's B16 engine build


I'm not sure to be honest. I'm thinking at the moment it was from the sump I just fitted. Even though I spent ages cleaning it I had a horrible feeling when I installed it that I never got all the filings out. I dunno though... It was fine before I installed the sump. Anyway, it looks like I'm back to the start again. I'm not giving up on it.... It's like this damn build is cursed haha. I've never had so much hassle in such a short space of time....

I'm one lucky fucker though.... :)

I've decided to turn my 9 into a pure weekend/track day car. I'm going to start a for sale thread soon on the bits that I'm selling (seats, carpet, rear seats ect...). Feel free to pm me though if you need anything people :)

Tell me about it mate... I still need to get the lot out. I'm pretty convinced now its from that sump I fitted. I'm pretty positive all it will need is a clean down and a new set of bearings. But we shall see....
 
How's yours going ? Have you decided what to do with your ignition setup?

Just sorting out a spare dizzy for the time being... going to copy your set up once everything else is payed for.

No, none yet mate. The car's been stripped to pieces as there's a fair bit of other work I need to do.

I've got the engine stripped down and all it needs is a new set of bearings (what I have) and the crank polished. Not bad really....

It's been a while. ... I need to keep the spirt up....

So..... I decided to strip the bay and repaint it as I wasn't totally happy with last year's job... Process of stripping. ..

First coat of 2K filler primer (I etched it first)...

I may need to rub two areas back down as my clumsy ass came in contact with them. I find it tricky spaying in the middle of the bay with mask/goggles on. My coordination is a bit ****.
 
Yeah, it's sitting in my house. As soon as I'm ready it's going in.
