Regamaster fitment problem

got my spigot rings after 2 weeks from rarerims and wrong ones, trying to arrange refund and gonna get set from ebay guys you all mention

Sorry thear that. I wasted a 1hr journey to one compnay that said they had them in, then the dousche was trying to tell me that I should cut 1cm or so out of a bigger size to make it work (pratt!).

..dude, just give 'Zach' 07900-302119 -a call, please tell him Will from ImportBuilders/ with the turbo EK9 sent you. i cannot fault the guys service. He keeps a massive ammount in stock and wont mess you around. :nice:

Fitted the Advans and spigot rings this weekend, and I'm under the impression that the spigot rings are slightly too small. When I inserted the spigot rings into the back of the wheel, they were loose enough to fall out again if you let the wheel lean over. With the wheels bolted to the car, you could actually move the spigot rings about. Will contact Zach to see what he suggests, but can anyone advise if they should be this loose fitting? :)

Let us know what size he suggests. Mine fell out too but seemed fine when fitted.

Well the size he suggested and said he'd send are 64.1mm - 72.6mm, though they are only marked 64.1 on the actual spigots. I have read on another car forum (non Honda) that someone used 72.6mm spigots with these wheels.

I just received the 64.1mm - 72.6mm spigots after sending the first set back as they were wrong.

They snap into the inside of the wheel perfectly but there is still a tiny amount of play (maybe 1mm) on the hub. I guess this is wrong ?

63mm for a tighter fit might be better. This is getting anoying.

64.1 is the Honda hub size, I know this because I measured mine with a vernier caliper. You should find its tight when the wheels bolted up and torqued down.

The best thing you guys can do if you unsure of the sizes is to get a two legged-caliper or even a compass that winds out to that size and expand it in the wheel to the I.D. then use a vernier caliper on the widest points and take a reading. Some of the wheels you guys have are very rare, ideally you need to ascertain the exact size.

Maybe these are as good as I'll get then. I'd be interested to know how other peoples wheels fit with these sized spigots rings.

I must add too, Zach is very helpful and I recommend him.

when i put my pink ones onto the extrusion on the brake disc, they had everso-slight movement in them, when theyre on with the wheel I cant move them as theyre tight in the wheel and tight against the hub.

phoned zak and gave him details, gave me link to buy now from on ebay this mornin so bought set, had no replies but hope there in post so have them tommorow, little dear though as was about £17-18 delivered

got em this mornin but wrong set, spoke to him and says soon as gets them back will send correct set out, havin nightmare with these things

It'll all be worth it in the end. Otherwise your riding on chance, its somthing that just has to be sorted. You need to measure the ID of the wheel if you want zero hassle. even if you take a wheel to a local machine shop and ask that favour... you need the proper measuring instruments to measure it accurately

your correct, i dont like driving my car without them so barely have for last couple weeks but should all be sorted next couple days

phoned zak yestreday to chase up if theyd been sent and said they had, came this morning and went to fit

they are very very tight into wheel so need forcing in but fair enough not a problem + trimming needed, went to put wheel back on car and they are completly wrong dam size, way way bigger than the hub so absolutley useless, not happy and gonna phone up, guess its another compnay i can srcrub of list never to use again, just hope i get refund or may even give him 1 more chance to send correct items out but wont hold my breath

(my old rings on orev wheels) spigot ring should fit tight on hub so actually doing job designed for

how these are with rega on,massive gap so not even on hub so completly useless (same as havin no spigot rings)

ok, ive calmed down and been on phone to zak, now i will give him this, he;s made more of an efoort to make sure im gettin right size and asked lot more info, just have headache of sendin these back again and waitin for another set which will be mid next week now

If I was over your way Id bring a dial bore indicator down or tessa bore micrometer. You'd have the right size garanteed. ill show you what I mean. If you can borrow one youll be sorted.

Just to show you what you need idealy...

I only rigged it up to show you quickly and I didnt have time to put an anvil on so ignore the reading.

finally got 3rd set today, fits wheels perfect (better than last set i received which were overly tight)

slightly loose on hub though about 1/4 -1/2mm but ill live with that, not prepared to send em back again etc as had enough, blue in colour so painted them black with some plastikote as stood out badly in blue, couple layers of paint should make them tiny bit tighter fit on hub + expansion with little heat when driving should make them tighter still

snapped tabs of as no use and look nasty anyway

these are also thick plastic compared to last set i got which were very thin so much better

so all sorted now and can drive with peace of mind

thanks ek9turbo for your info
