Well as some of you know im in the process of making the car look brand new Everything has been replaced & the whole car is immaculate I even manged to sortout the induction side of things:)
The only thing that was letting the car down was the wheels chips & scuffs & they were nowhere near as bright as the car so I thought time to refurb.
usally pay someone to do it but I prefer spending on other things now so did it myself

Results of my 1st one finished & laquered

and 2 more just painted & in my baking oven:p

Il get some pics up when all done & on car I cant belive how good the results are for DIY :nice:

nicey nice, are they CW or just white? just white always looks a bit bright on CW cars imo

They are champion white NH-0 paint code Look very bright in sun but next to car look perfect:nice:

Used very fine wet & dry gave a quick rub down then primer - paint - laquer
total cost was £50 for materials I got all my stuff from halfords I got them to make up the champion white paint. Now some halfords are not good at the paint mixing but my local store are fantastic they seem to love using that paint machine & did test strips etc & compared to car to make sure it was spot on :win:

materials
few sheets of wet & dry the really fine stuff
3 cans of champion white paint NH-O
2 cans of halfords laquer & 2 primer cans
bulk roll 4x halfords masking tape (even though im still crap &got some spray on tyre:p

Just whacked the finished one on the car I think this shows better ho close the colour match is It really does look the same in natural light:nice:

Superb mate. Mine aren't quite bad enough to warrant a refurb - few chips, thats about it!

a brush...are you serious!

lol.

Sorry if I missed it but are those centre caps new or also refurbed?

Re: Halfords mixing paint, as above really - the quality of the final colour is totally dependent on the mixer.

Agree mate The guy who does it at my local branch takes it very seriously & has also used the service himself to refurb his own wheels. The colour is spot on.
With center caps they were in good shape so just gave a bloody good scrub with neat fairy liquid then waxed:nice:

Where did you get the centrecap stickers?

They look fantastic!

Nice alternative to getting them pro refurbed. Much cheaper too! i'll consider this next since i've already refurbed all my wheels on the 9,2 and 5
