Receiving goods not as described- opinions

I think it's about time I defend myself and reputation on this forum.

I have been on this forum for many years and this is the first time I've ever had a problem.

The item was described as 8/10 I asked I preferred collection for two reasons, so you can see the item and also there is no risk of being damaged in the transit.

You've sent me picture that is clearly not the intake I sent with damage.

After raising a dispute in paypal that's fine. But all I've asked for is for you to send the item back (I even attached the return address on the intake) once you send the item back the money will be refunded. Fairly simply. I am not refunding before the item is recieved purely as I feel this was your intention the whole time getting a Mugen intake for free.

I've tried asking on paypal and ice tried asking on here but you seem to ignore my request to send the item back.

Like I said I have been on this forum and sold many many items on here with no problems, but I sell one thing to somebody with less than 50 posts and have problems.

So trying to ruin my reputation on these forums is pathetic.

Your complaing about having to pay delivery which will be covered by PayPal because you have no intention of sending the intake back. So I've lost out on £260 and my intake..

Yet again your running on about using the forum for many years and having loads of posts, I have brought £1000s worth of parts through the forum with no issue and even brought a set of wheels from you in the past. just because I have less that 50 posts means nothing!

I shouldn't need to come and view the item as your description should be 100% accurate which it clearly wasn't if you were not happy to post then you shouldn't have. Your the one that messaged me back asking if I still wanted the air box and gave me a price delivered.

When I first mentioned the problem to you it was shrugged of and blamed on being damaged In the post which as already mentioned is not possible. When I asked how you would like to rectify the problem you yet again told me it was ok when you sent it, at which point you left me no choice but to open a paypal dispute. Only now that I have opened a paypal dispute have you decided to start suggesting me to return the item.

Even if you want to claim that the damage was done in the post it still doesn't explain why the bend on the bottom is not genuine, do you care to explain why you failed to tell me about that prior to payment ?

As already mentioned I have dealt with plenty of people of the forum via pm and in person and I am by no means out to screw anyone over ( infact I feel this is what you have done to me ) as I'm sure anyone that's met me will agree.

I'm not happy to pay out for postage unless it's confirmed via PayPal that I will be refunded for it.

Your reputation thread is for people to look at before purchasing from you and with you asking for money to be bank transfered I'm sure this is the first place they will look. I think it's only fair that it should be mentioned as if I had paid via the method you suggest I would now be stuck with your incorrectly described and unfit for use air box.

Thanks

I've bought from Shane for the first time within the last week, had no problems at all, only thing was the dispatch was a bit slow but he kept me updated at all points. Would happily buy from again.

As said. Send the item back and you'll get your refund from PayPal, even if Shane didn't want to refund you PayPal will just take it anyway Aslong as there's proof it's been sent back

Well I'm glad your happy Harvey, looks like your one of the lucky ones.

Jesse- I'm happy to return the item once I have confirmation from PayPal that I shall be refunded for postage costs. The last thing I wanted to do was make A big issue of it over the forum but I feel other members should be made aware

Thanks

You will most likely get the original payment refunded from paypal and not the return postage.

To send it recorded will cost you 12.95 via parcelforce 48.
Maybe come to an agreement with seller about the return postage but in meantime send item back recorded and post up tracking info on paypal dispute you opened.

If you was not happy with the box, send it back like I said I left a return address on the packaging incase for any reason you needed to send the part back.

I'm trying to make this as easy as possible for you
And like I've said a number of times the separate part which you are claiming is non genuine, I told you I purchased this from Duncan before you even sent me the funds?

I don't like to use PayPal because everytime is goes on the buyers favour, even if I have number of times said please send the item back and it will be refunded, but you seem to insist on dragging it out to avoid sending the item back until paypal refund you..

If you look through my rep thread there is a number of people saying that item is 100% as described but you with less than 50 post (I no you keep saying it means nothing) but my trust is with a forum member which contributes to the forum

I really don't no what else to say apart from if your not happy send the item back?

But I still feel that you have no intention of that.

Hes saying he will refund you i dont see your problem tbh ueah its a bit **** the whole situation but these things happen, hes offered a full refund uppom return, has an impeccable reputation on the forum and is also a regular, well known member hes hardly going to throw all his rep away and get himself banned for the sale off ripping you off.

All any company or retailer would offer to you would be to return the item then you will be refunded uppon return but you seem to have this unreasonable expectation you can get refunded before you return the item. Yes u may loose out on £10 for delivery bit your not buying a new item off a retailer here.

a trusted seller ,with 2000+ post ,member since 2009.
send the item back with track and get your refund, there is nothing to worry about it,in the case the seller will refuse to pay you ,paypal will do 100%.

Think your missing the point here my man.

He has only agreed to having the item sent back since opening a paypal dispute, not before. If it was you in my situation you would be making the same amount of fuss as I am and other forum users should be made aware of all doings, good or bad.

I have no intentions of not sending the item back but do not see why I should be responsible for postage costs for something that is wrong through no fault of my own.

Like said once you send the item back paypal will more than likely cover the cost of postage as well. If you are looking to get a refund and also not send the item back then that is just wrong. He is offering what any company would offer.

If you buy goods off ebay etc.. the seller does not cover postage back. So just send it back and get a refund.

still no sign of my intake back....

a bit pathetic making trying to ruin my reputation and posting this for everyone to see, when i think i was clearly correct, that you had no intention of sending it back insisted on using paypal as you can claim money back.

its up to you guys if you would like to sell to ben10, but i can make sure anybody i know will not be selling or buying from ben10 again. Buy and sell at your own risk guys.

ill leave it at that.

Easiest way to do this is check goods before accepting delivery i.e signature. Cant stress it enough. Hope you get this sorted i had this with a spoiler as it was damaged in transit. Buyer signed for it so insurance was void. As your signing in good condition.

But any defects not noted is kinda miss leading.
