Just got myself a parcel shelf for the 9, I can see why some ditch them, quite heavy at 3.430kgs, necessity for me tho :nice:

I always feel that they are an added benefit for many reasons.

Help keep a bit of road noise out too, and the weight...if it bothers you, just don't eat before you drive. LOL
 
I am glad that mine came with one, think it looks weird without them.
 
i took mine out, the rattle was annoying.

+ saves a bit of weight
 
when my 9 was imported, the importer told me they dont have them from the factory.. is this not true?


kinda made sense because there is no hooks to hook the parcel shelf strings too..
 
mine doesnt have one either,might get one to mount speakers on....then again thats 10kgs+ so nah dont think ill bother:lol:
 
I have one in my garage i never used, its complete with all clips and screws. Any one interested make me an offer.

i wouldnt want to be without mine...hides anything in the boot which i nearly always use...and looks **** loads better.
 
EK9's never have rear shelf.

some people on ebay sell black rear shelf stating that it is off an ek9 because its black in colour, they make their money but too bad all bidders don't know it's just off an EK4 SiR. Normal civics have grey shelf.

US people are willing to pay crazy figures when you label anything 'EK9'
