really bad knocking noise..!!

i was just wondering if anybody here could help me, i a getting a bad knocking noise from my ek9. it seems to happen when you put your foot down in first gear and as you get near the top of the revs when you put the clutch down to change to 2nd gear you get the nasty clunk then, it feels like the whole engine is jumping or something..? i have tryed to push the engine nd i cant rili feel much play, i know it sounds stupid but its worth a try haha. but anyway it would be helpful if any1 could give me some information thanks.

hmm, engine mounts probally all 5 are gone???

yeah i agree with jugzbugz sounds like the mounts are gone,get some silkoflex in them, it hardens up like polyurethene when its dry and is a cheap fix, my friend sorted his teg's mounts with it.

ah thanks for replying nd letting me know wat the problem could be. im just gutted because engine mounts arnt cheap and i havnt really got the money. i have had the car for like 1 year now and i am having nothing but problems with it, i thought honda's were suposed to be reliable. i think i will take it down to my local garage nd see what they say.

but as you said about the silicone, i will have a think about that and if i dont replace the mounts then i will proberly do that.

does anybody know where i can pick up all the 5 mounts from for a cheap price...?

dont use silicone in the mounts, its not hard enough, use poly urethane, you can get it from mcmaster.com also hondas are reliable but dont forget your car is 7-10 years old.
