rattling noise coming from my mugen twinloop

i seem to have a rattling noise coming from inside my mugen twinloop backbox. it happens when you rev it and you let of the accelarator it seems to be coming from the main box. has anyone got any ideas?

could be the baffle material and tubing breaking up inside the box maybe..get a torch and have a good look in there to see if it looks intact etc. that would be my first call

if the baffle material is breaking up is it possible to fix or will i need to buy a new backbox?

Maybe it's vibrating against your rear bumper? That's what happens sometimes with my backbox, if I let off the accelerator at some rpms it rattles against rear bumper.

yes it is poosible to fix! i have opended up my own spoon street muffler and my mates(icemans)backbox and had them repacked! my wasnt to bad but as you say the rattle was driving me mad!!

icemans had a rattle but was just getting loud as the 'mesh' was slowly getting burnt away!

this is my spoon street! the new plate warped fairly bad as the can was double skined i wasnt to botherd as it unseen under the car!

here's icemans(he hasnt even seen these yet!!) we took alittle more time with this one got more detailed pics also!the new plate didnt warp as bad as mine when welded up

what is that white stuff you put in the exhaust? and where can i get it from?

its its 'wadding'(proper stuff!!)or 'baffle' to you guys! this stuff was very expensive! we used it on a number of amuse systems for the S2k boys awhile ago!

depending on how much you want i may able to get some for you?

just enough to do my exhust. not sure how much i will need.

just thought you say you got a twinloop?where abouts would you open it up? the 'loop' goes over the top of the can doesnt it?

yes it does go over the top. could you not open it on the bottom?
