Got a set ordered for track wheels, just 195/55/15
Any recommendations on pressures to run?
For track use.
They won't ever see the road. :)
Got a day booked mid July and just lookin for any advice/info!

I'm aiming mine at 32 hot.

Around what has been advised above....but tbh your best altering them throughout the day to find which is best to your driving style and conditions/temps on the day.

Also you may want to consider, if for example the track your at has a lot of punishing right handers, maybe drop your front left 1-2psi to compensate for the higher temps in that particular tyre?

Cheers for advice.
Guess ill work from 30hot and see how they feel.
Will be a fresh set so will have to give them a road run to bed them in a little first :)

25 hot all round is how i ran mine, anything more and especially on the front you would see excessive wear round the centre of the tyre (due to over inflation)

last time at the ring i was running A048 yokos at 18psi cold!!! again resulted in nice and even wear, much hotter climate than the UK so the pressures increased massively

I run mine on 30 psi all over, cold, -road use- and i think it might be much. However they tend to consume all the width of the tyre, especially the front ones while cornering which puts me on thoughts about whether I should drop the pressure.

30 is fine for road use, for track use where you are really loading the tyres you need to drop them

crazy how much heat is transfered from the brakes, especially running small (15") wheels

A trackday / g plot app on a smartphone is handy and quick for judging pressures

If you take note of the G plots throughout the day , you can add / remove pressure to find the maximum grip.

Start with a low psi , adding more pressure in 2psi steps until G drops , then bleed by 1psi.

Although rough it can be very handy when conditions are changing.

30 psi might be much as I noticed today that the middle section of the thread is less comparing to the outer. I will reduce it a bit.

30 on the road 25-26 hot on track both at the ring and short circuits.
