R1PPU's EJ9 Build Up

Not a good week to own a vsm civic ? Hope the clutch doesn't cost too much mate.

Definitely not! Its not cost too much, but its something i could've done without. AT least i have the car back now though! I'll get a pic up of the clutch tonight, its properly ****** haha. The cars booked into billy next week and to get some bushes done the week after.

Did you manage to get your's fixed?

Bits are on the way, getting a lift back up the road from a mate tomorrow so I've still got wheels for the weekend. Sucks hairy balls not having a car lol.

Haha, tell me about it! Been busing it to uni since Monday, took me 2 buses and 1 hour and 45 mins each way! As opposed to a 20 min drive. As you say, sucks hairy balls haha.

Is it just the dizzy thats conked out?

Yeah hope so, think it was my fault the dizzy has gone due to me mucking about trying to find out which ht lead was goosed.
Was stuck on the motorway down here for about three hours, luckily I've been able to catch a lift to and from course as its ten miles away.

Ouch! Manage to get the car off the motorway ok? Yeah, that makes life easier!

Yeah finally got recovered ok.

If you're going to kill a clutch at least you do it right ha ha

Thats the main thing! I had to pull my bumper off so i could get towed to the garage.

Haha, exactly, if you're gonna do it, do it right! Weird thing was it was fine up until it went pop! The mechanic that swapped it for me said that the damage shows that the clutch disintegrated! So that would explain why its so bad...

awesome pic man :) any plans for the car?

Cheers man! Its getting a new midpipe made up on Sunday and front end rebush on Wednesday, then tracking done again on Thursday. Noticed the torque mounts are a bit worn when i replaced all the belts (aircon, power steering and alternator) last night, so contemplating either replacing them, or getting some poly inserts for them...Wont be able to do it until after pay day anyway, so got a week to decide haha.

I'll be refurbing the wheels too when the weather gets a bit better.

get a b16 put into her mate

I wish i could mate, i cant afford the insurance on a swapped car, so just getting by with the D14 atm!

that clutch looks well ****** eh!! atleast you didnt muck aboot and got it fixed straight away!

That latest pic is lovely!!!

On the way home the steering started squeaking a bit. Happens at the locks, and goes away once i'd turned from lock to lock, but then came back. Not sure what it is, but it shouldnt be the balljoints as they are fairly new and sounded different when they went last time. If anyone has any idea's, give me a shout.

Cheers.
