Quick question for the OEM people here:

It has been a while since i drove around on my original suspension so here is the idea;

I'm thinking of putting my oem ej9 on my oem ek9 shocks. Is it worth it? I know the ek9 shocks aren't bad but it has been too long for me... Can anyone giveme their honest opinion on this? So oem ej9 on stock ek9 shocks.. what to expect in handling difference?

Cheers in advance mates!

You've worded that a bit akwardly.

You mean you want to put EK9 springs AND dampers on your EJ9? Do it, front will sit a bit high with the lighter engine though.

If you mean EK9 dampers with EJ9 springs, don't do it. Not matched at all.

Cheers for the reply and my bad. i mean the ek9 springs and dampers indeed. sorry for the confusion.

and performance wise? I mean it's a simple ej9, won't have any of the strutbars or swaybars my 9 has but i just want the ej9 to handle a bit better. think this will do the job?

Yes undoubtedly. It's not going to handle like an EK9, but it'll be a lot better than the standard suspension without a doubt.

thanks mate.

deffo worth doing that.

cheers guys!

I've this done to my ej9 , the front sits quite noticeably higher than the rear , car does handle better now and is still no where near as a hard/stiff as a ek9 on the road

i think ek9 shocks and eibach springs would be a good set up too
