Police trouble :(

When i got my first car Clio 1.2. I was on my way home one night really quiet country road about 1 in the morning, around 50mph in 5 gear next thing i get pulled for a noise defective exhaust.

I was like you must be kidding iv not even put the foot down. (Althought it was illegal its only loud when high revs).
I got issued with a mot test check which i knew it would fail and it did then a week later i crashed and scrapped the car anyway.

Worst part of all was when they pulled me their van was sitting with a headlight out which i mentioned cause few nights before the same guys pulled me for headlight out.
So because i started questioning their faults they got harsh and checked over the whole car. I was there for ages.

y b a pr*ck about it instead of helpin the guy out ,people like u p*ss me off completely!

2X this forum is hear to help dude

Popo these days really need to find something better to do.

And thread starter if its about emissions stick to your guns and say you bought it like this, if it is about it being loud just say exactly what every one else has pointed out that the exhaust already has a silencer

Tama666 is a long and trusted member. He is entitled to his opinion and his suggestion is alot less hassle and he is right really he got caught breaking the law. Like i suggested there is loop holes to get yourself out.

No need to be like that and comments like those you made a will only get you kicked off the forum. This is a very close knit community and we're a great "family".

My car has a spoon system, its loud! I think you basically got a police officer that clearly was being a nob, i would say put the cat in so that it clearly passes its emissions and i would say it was fine

I quite enjoy getting pulled by the police, rehearse what to say for all possible conversations and be polite but direct and don't be afriad to question what they tell you and always ask for a badge number ;) Don't play dumb, don't lie and study up on the law, you'll soon find theres a million ways to stay legal.

....perspective is a very interesting thing...i understand both sides and cant find one side being more right or wrong, than the other. It comes down to personal preference really, as to how to fight or not to fight the issue.

I can see the police being called from the old man or lady in the town complaining about loud cars reving engines all night; police react and put pressure on us car modifiers...making old man and lady happy, police stop getting calls. Cause and effect is what I see as happening here...and is why I would pay the fine and get on with life with out fighting the issue in court, which costs you and the community even more money when you fight it. Money that could have been used to fill pot-holes in the roads that we all complain about.

Exactly. Because some moron jobsworth tells you something its instantly true? **** that.

ACAB.

...I just elect to not mess with the police/court/law...not because I think that police officer is right. The faster I get off their "radar" the better in my mind.
This is not bad advice at all, but still, its only advice.

Im not even gonna get started on what i think.

As Previously said some jumped up Jobsworth sticking their nose in.
