I bought a B16b block and had it homed out and put standard pistons and rings in. Now the problem am having it that its smoking in high rev.
I have done 700 mile on the car for the rings to bed in but still smoking in high rev.
Could it be the rings are to small after the homing?

Honda's are very fussy and specific when it comes to bore honing cross hatch pattern, simply honing out with a run of the mill deglazing tool is not good enough on these engines,

There ok. Car only smokes in high rev. I've used a whole bottle of oil when I put the engine together and I went to bristol and back to Birmingham and my oil was finish.
If I start the car and drive it normally without going into high rev it will not smoke at all.
So I'm thinking the machine shop did not hone or put the rings in right. And I gave them brand new honda 81mm rings

Normally if your stem seals are gone then as soon as you hit vtec you will see a big puff of smoke behind you. Is this your problem ? If its not then do a compression and leakdown test to see how your rings have seated. What oil were you using to run your engine in ? What grit hone and what degree cross hatching was used by the machine shop ? The problem with most machine shops is that there used to doing everyday cars not high reving honda's like ours which can cause problems like this. If i'm right, Honda recommend a 280 grit finish with a 60 degree cross hatch...

Am using 10-40 oil. And its not a puff of smokes its constant smoke only when I come out of high rev it will stop.
I will do a compression test and see.
