Ive seen those 'louvres before but they remind me waay too much of the side of old tumble driers or industrial machinary casings/covers.
Ive been toying with the idea of having a slit cut on the bonnet near the radiator and having a custom vent made there like the skin of the bonnet pushed down an inch or two then a little sheet metal added and welded in to support it. This is all to do with a power upgrade Im planning along with the intention of a lot of trackdays and my temp needle is rock solid with the fluidyne rad and fan..it would be beneficial and preventative to have this hot air easily evacuated form the bay. I want it to still look as subtle as possible and clean lines. Just need some more exaple pics of whatever bonnets from whatever car that are subtle but good.
Unless your doing it yourself its probably more cost effective to get a fibreglass special to be made?
Maybe just get a spare bonnet and carve a hole in it just for the track - then swap it back after? You will be going to fast for people to notice anyway! Hassle though.
A tough one to get it looking nice & 'factory' though.
In that case, I always thought this design was the best looking vented bonnet out there, and it seems very similar to what you're proposing above..
This is the C West one that was on one of the cars we broke.
U know what mine looks like mate, no need to post a pic! Lol
C-west gets my vote...
