phearable.net ecu!!!?

I assume that you guys have aftermarket camshafts + springs + retainers if you rev up that high, there's no use to rev up that high if you dont make any power! :nerv:

So is it best to keep the stock rev limiter if you have'nt got cams etc?

The Pherable ECU's are bullshit! I had one for my JDM ITR with a few mods, and after installing it in the car it became more sluggish:angry:. I began to smoke from over fueling and it keep throwing check engine lights. I did not see any increase in the 1/4 mile at all, because the car actually ran .2 slower:(. When I called John and said I don't see the difference here is what he said, "You might not be able to feel the 2-5 extra horsepower, but it is there", what a load of crock:blabla:. I would not advise anyone to purchase those ECU's, buy a socketed ECU and a GENUINE Hondata s100:nice:http://www.statracing.com/buy/hondata.asp

The reason your engine light is coming on is because the ecu enables it to work as a shift light I told u that 2 weeks ago. And it did not work for u because u told him to tune it to work with buddyclub cams and u put it in there before the cames so u got no real noticeable performance and u were smoking because the computer was dishing out more fuel and u were not burning it off because u did not have the cams. Everybody on here seems to speak highly of the ecu's so I think I am going to get one anyway.

Shift light my ass! That is total ****ery. Am I suppose to shift my ****ing car at 1000rpm standing idle:angry:, because the cel light came on from the time the car started, i JUST NEVER TOLD YOU THAT. I did use the computer in conjuntion with the Buddy Club cams and you know this. I did 13.8 on street tires with my stock ECU and Integra cams ( YOU WERE THERE), and 14.0 with the Pherable ECU and Buddy Club cams:(. I sold that ecu THE NEXT WEEK TO A GUY FOR usd 150.00, MY LOSS.

thanks for sharing your opinion :nerv:

Are you sure its a proper spoon ecu? It should rev out to 9290 rpm. Mine does.

good for you mate, yes im sure,i change shift at exactly 9k rpm because there isnt the proper mods in the car to rev higher safely, you are not making any power past 9k anyways so why bother, unless your happy with ragging an engine thats not fit for it<<<<----(ie.yours),why rev more when your not making extra power??depends what your into i suppose...

I was just askin thats all,not boasting or anything! No need to be gettin mad lol! And i dont rev my car out that much the whole time. I just know because I was spinning wheels in the wet one day and my apexi rsm stores the highest rpm you rev the car out to...

lol yea she goes past the 9k mark but as said i shift at 9k because it makes no sense to rev any higher:nice:

hahaha teamdiesel got busted... thats one of the first complaints ive heard from phearable... also its still a basemap, nothing beats a real dyno session and once you have the phearable ecu you can have your car dyno tuned as long as the tuner uses crome/uberdata/turboedit.

Busted?? "The One" knows nothing about ECU's and tunning. I tuned my ITR and it came to be the most feared NA Type R in my country. I had Type R owners coming to my house to have me tune their Integras for them (including The One). It just turned out that I was pulled into the "sparkle" of Phearable's talk about power increases:bow:, until I experienced NOTHING:wow:

I believe you man, I think your problem has a answer, a friend of mine here had the same issues with a phearable.net ecu, the problem was the vtec cross over; and it was solved by changing a wire in the conversion harness, I'm trying to find the .doc that was sent to him so he can fix the error, from making 11.x in the 1/8 mile, he was able t do a 10.x and no more check engine lights. Phearable.net is a great ecu, but it simply didn't worked for you, this could happen to any ecu tuner, and I'm glad you gave your opinion here, now all the people in this site have a second opinion, and reading all this comments they can make a choice! :) Also, you had a bad customer support, thats another point, this reminds me of my fight with Neo, he loves Ibcjapan export car company and i hate them hahaha.

And chill out guys here it's not who knows more, we are a community who can share information, and with every information each member gives we learn a lot, including my self.

:thanks:

Teamdiesel Found the .doc the friend of mine used to fix the problem, he had the same issues you got:

Hope this helps to any of you guys:

The conversion harness he sells is rubbish. After closer examination, after experiencing check engine lights, I noticed that the wires were coming lose of their connectors in the harness. That is why his products are so cheap. They are garbage point blank.

I have bought a phearable chip and for me till now it was a good investment.
I prepped my ecu buying the JDM P30 ECU chipping kit and installed a ebay chip in it which I tought was good, but after getting a phearable chip I realize what crap I bought from ebay.

I will recommend phearable to anyone who would like a chipped ecu. They knows what they do!

I am a 100% satisfy customer!!!

If I was to buy one of these would I need anything else bar a conversion harness to replace the standard ecu? I.e. I would I need another case or anything to mount the mapped chip?

I was thinking of getting one with a base map then getting this customised at a later date, seems a very cheap option over Hondata/Spoon and for the light modifications I have would be just as effective?

I bought and ecu from them, and I specified that my car was a jdm ek9 and worked great, I didn't swap or modify the chip.

I think you need to specify that you want to "switch" chips to your ecu so he can install the necessary hardware.

Good luck.
