Performancetek K24 EG : story so far

Got this way back in 2004 I think...

bought it with all the cosmetic stuff already done, and with a heap of turbo parts to build it up

Spec was (from memory)

-D16Z6
-JE pistons, crower rods
-Skunk2 turbo camshaft, skunk2 valves, springs and retainers
-Garrett T3 on stainless tubular manifold, 38mm ext w/g
-3" custom downpipe,3" yoshimuru exhaust system
-RC injectors, crome management
-Jaguar X type intercooler

Went really well, got 3 magazine features (Fast&Modified, Max Power, Banzai) but I bought an Evo and lost interest, broke it for spares and nearly scrapped the shell...but didnt...

it was probably the WORST base to work on ha ha, it was severely rotten but a challenge nonetheless and showed we can do anything. Ive restored 50 year old mini that had less rot hehe.

lol well hondas unfortunately do tend to rot especially with the pish weather we get in scotland haha

yeah. I replaced...*deep breath*.....full front end including wings/bonnet/front panel, drivers side door, both sills, tailgate, both outer rear quarters and both inner rear quarters. That was 3 years ago and its still mint

I remember seeing this back in my max power buying days Lol . Was it originally a turbo out a metro before the T3 ?

Its a T3 on the metro, actually quite a good turbo for the D16, was on boost by 2500rpm.
