pdapaul's YellowSpeed Time Attack EKK24 on ITBS

Can that be adjusted by the bar John, or would you suggest changing m/c?

You should manage that with the bar. I gather they give about a 2:1 possible factor in bias. That should get you to about 80% max which would perhaps be a tiny bit much.

Its worth saying that your Yellowspeed pads if they are at all "race" will have a higher coefficient of friction than the DS2500 too - so that will mean more front bias too.

I've just got some RC6 to fit in the front as well, so hopefully this will further bias to the front.

Thanks again everyone for your help!
Looks like it's a late finish again tomorrow!!

To aid bleeding john so that the pedal box is taken out of the equation I've bought an eezibleed. Any good or just a gimmick?

There's an inner and an outer ?? Ha ha..it says idiot proof on the box!! We'll see!!!

There better be. I've bled 2 pots with only one nipple before and you have to unbolt them and turn them upside down and then the right way up. Its a right PITA!

I've always been on pedal duties, but I'm sure it will become apparent when i get the wheels off..

Keep your phone handy ha ha ha

Sorry I can't be of any help with this. Seems like johns your man anyway, rock on john!

Finally had my fill of trying to sort the pedal box, so off it comes!!
Located a master cylinder and servo combo from a 96 spec dc2 and yesterday got it fitted and bled up. Just need to wait for the vacuum pipe to land on Wednesday and then I can give it a try. The brakes already feel better even without the servo connected.

OEMFTW :)

One question for those in the know. I believe that the 96dc2 has a smaller servo (and possibly m/c.. I can't find that info). Would fitting the later larger servo from a 98spec or EK9 be significantly noticeable?

Cheers, I'll find one then. I thought the servo was definitely different, I was just unsure on the m/c. So is it a 15/16 on a 96 DC2?

That servo you have in that pic looks like the bigger type as found on 282 braked cars. Obviously hard to confirm from a picture though.

M/c should have the size cast on it

I'll check on Tuesday. I've gone online and the 96 does seem to be different. This is the same as the one I've fitted, and the second pic is a 96 and 98 side by side.

Shame about the pedal box really.
You going to try and make it work later down the line or you just staying oem now?

I'm staying OEM for now bud, I just don't know enough about the boxes to mess with it at the moment. And practice days and TA rounds will becoming thick and fast now so can't risk the car being in bits.

Why do you want to buy it :)

Haha if you had success with it I was going to price it up lol
Seems it's more difficult than I imagined, just like yourself I've spent too much time in the garage and not on track this year to be taking risks with the brakes.
Oem will do fine, for now lol
