Yesterday i fitted a set of Spoon twinblock calipers to my EK9, i was aware that i would need to use spacers to clear the Rega's so i headed to Halfords and bought 9.5mm for the front and rear, after fitting the one side with no issues i started on the drivers side, when i came to refitting the alloy i noticed that for some strange reason 2 of the 5 studs were shorter and i do not have enough threads to out the wheel on :( My only alternative is to buy hubcentric spacers, what i want to know is if i buy 15mm hubcentric spacers for the front and rear will my car rub atall? This would give me an offset if +30 i believe. I don't want to be rolling my arches but would like to lower the offset as much as i possibly can. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Below is a pic of the completed side with a 9.5mm spacer upfront with 0 spacing on the rear.

The odd wheel lol (still can't decide what i prefer...)

Before anyone says "put 15mm on and test it" i can't because the car is SORN so need to try and get it right first time around.

What type of spacer are the 9.5 mm ones?
Does the centre of the wheel have anything to locate on?

If it does just buy some longer studs if it doesn't then don't use them

Here are the spacers i used mate

Apparently its alot oh hassle changing the studs as the wheel bearing will need to be done too?

That's the problem with 15" regas, I sold mine because they have the most useless clearance of any wheel, 16" regas is where its at,

Anyway,

Either buy longer studs, or if you go hubcentric, yes it will rub and u need to get the arches rolled if you haven't done already.

Regas are more suited to the Spoons, the sprint harts they are not as eye catching.

Hhmmm ok mate, i think im just going to fanny about later down the garage to see what looks best and just pray that it doesn't rub out on the road lol

I would too mate but its annoying me having odd wheels on my car i want it sorted asap!

Just a question i have 282mm dc2 brakes in my EG6 and i want to buy a set of Rota slipstream 15x6.5 for my car, should i will have some problems with clearance?

thanks

Id say you'd be ok mate, as far as im aware its only with Spoon calipers and other big brake kits that you need to run spacers
