i was thinking the same as this engine is more heavier so would actually ruin the handling, but everyone has their own taste and being different
i agree bro

Why oh why would somebody do that? Why not just drop in a built b20/vtec and keep the weight distribution, also the B gearbox is superior to the H gearbox, i have seen the H gearboxes fail with under 200whp!
2x blinx, I totally agree. The weight distribution will be very off, turning it into a plow of a car. Would work good on drag I guess, but I don't play there.
It is unique tho..."nice to visit, would hate to live there"
fair enough if you want different but in my opinion you have changed or removed two of the best bits of the car, the engine and the seats?
The swap is an F2B. So it still retains the B-series Gear ratios.
This motor is superior to a B20Vtec because it makes over 200whp stock!
The car still handles very well, The weight is not noticeable with aftermarket coilovers with stiffer spring rates.
Now with stock suspension it would be a different story.
The torque this motor produces compared to a B16 is huge, and makes the car so much more fun to drive in all aspects.
BTW the weight difference is only >100 lbs. By removing half of the crap in the engine by almost eliminates that.
BOttom line, YES I can feel the weight difference, But the car is not affected as much as you might think.
Adding the estimated 100 lbs to the engine bay takes your weight distribution from something like 60/40 to more like 65/35 at best. This is not good what so ever.
Stiff springs will not change the weight distribution, it may change the feel in the seat, does nothing for the extra weight sitting under the hood. Slinging an extra 100 lbs around a corner is still going to be harder than not slinging 100lbs around a corner.
You simply took a great handling car to a lower performance level on a road course or street driving. Its more of a drag car setup now. Nothing wrong with it other than a b18c or frank b20 will smoke your butt in the turns. lol
