what oil should my ek9 run on ? 10w30 ?

5/30 or 10/30

No def run it on a Semi Synth 10w40 of if you really want something thinner 5w40. This its the oil Honda used when the engine was developed back in the late 80's.

10w40 for normal protection or 5w40 fully synthetic for more advanced protection properties but a bit more expensive
