In the morning when i start my car from cold my oil pressure sits at about 65-70 psi on my b16a2. It never drops below this that iv noticed untill it gets warmer, however the last two or three days when going round one sharp corner in particular it appears to drop down to about 30psi for a split second and then Straight back to 60 untill warm...
Is this a problem?

right either your oil level is low, or your cornering so hard you need a baffled sump,, check your oil level as a 1st point of call, report back your findings

I checked my oil thismorning after i noticed it for the second time yesterday, oil is a tad under the top marker... So could probably do with toppin up but nothing majour. Oil pressure seems good when driving normaly peaking at around 70-75psi and at idle 20psi ( when fully warm )

Try fitting sump baffles or a baffled sump and see if that helps. Your oil level is fine there, i always fill mine slightly under instead of over.

also well worth pulling teh sump off and checking for debris in teh oil pick up pipe gauze, also when was your oil last changed make sure you have no leaks at the oil filter,

Oil was changed about 3000 miles ago and im just waiting for a warm day before i do it again, no leaks whatsoever.its literally just on one corner that iv experienced it. So annoying.

left or right hand turn? Im going to guess right hand turn.

Yes it is a right hand turn why haha? Either it was a 50/50 guess or theres something behind your answer, im thinking the latter lol enlighten me

Its to do with the shape of the sump and the oil sloshing to the one side. Think about it....

Well i thought that but sureley if that was the case everyone would get it?

I'v had it when i went around the island at the bottom of my road quickly so i know what your on about. I now have a baffled sump that i'm going to try out...

...it must be your oil pan not being baffled and not debris in the pan. Debris would cause the issue both left and right hand turns, not just right hand.

Debrit's would also damage the pump and cause you to have much lower oil pressure.

So if it is just the oil surging then is this normal? Do they all do it?

Not if it gets caught in the mesh filter on the pick up and clogs that.

Most solid debrits are a lot smaller than that mesh filter and go straight through it into the pump and wreck it. I've had it happen to me....

Yeah thats what the whole idea of fitting sump baffles is. Try Tegiwa for them, i think there only like £15 or so... Its not really a massive job to fit them to.
