Norwich meet


Thanks guys. It really was a nice meet, but to be fair it wasn't posted on here, it was actually a type r owners meet, I just gatecrashed it! As Josh said it is indeed a VSM db8.

Hope to have many more like this next year maybe even a few more this year so it would be nice to see some new faces and of course cars! but my 9 probably won't be in attendance:( she's going to be tucked away for the winter.

You must be the guy who owned it before benno? I'm really enjoying owning the car and putting my own touch to it.

Love the pictures jon, shame there wasent a few more of my DC5 :( haha! and yes it was expensive at the petrol station £58 to fill mine, worth every penny though and the chap who was in his blue EG you flashed me but i thought to begin with it was my mate adam because he has a blue k20'd EG then i realised it wasent, so yer there are a few of us about near to your area, shame you couldnt join us mate you would of loved it!

Thats the one mate benno is a good mate of mine, i owned her for around 18 months and had all the work carried out on her it was stock when i got it. The only things left to do in my opinion was coilovers, some cams and head work, injectors and a hondata ecu. It was never fast enough for me so ended up back in a turbo car again but when i see pictures of her it makes me wonder :(( Look after her and if you have any questions about whats done to engine/car etc just ask. My names at the top of all those invoices you have :D

I honestly thought about following you but then thought nah thats a bit weird.... wish i had now.
Well mine ain't a K20, i got a load of Feels tuning parts but it ain't no K20 would have been nice to speak to people who understand what my car is.......
would've been cool to see faces, not screen names,
well i know now so i will watch out..
loving your 9 mate nice choice of wheels a break from the norm....

i did randomly speak to a chap at the shell garage on ring road who asked if mine was K20 lol i told him my B16 had 240hp to see if he would question me.....( he didn't ) sorry if he is a member on here..... i'm just getting sick of people in norwich asking me about my car as knowone knows who feels are ( its anoying ) .... i told one chap it had 300hp and he believed me. some people deserve it though.

Nice to know your still around anyway. What car did you end up getting in the end then? I know benno replaced it with a mk1 focus rs, he gave me a lift in it from the station when I went to pick the 9 up. Well as you can see I've done the coilovers! I also added a rigid 3 point brace and some lower postition seat rails, I havn't had money to do much else! I want to replace other bits chassis wise like camber/ toe arms and trailing arm bushes to really freshen it up. Then as you say see if I can do much else with the engine.

Tropher-EK4- there is a blue eg in exactly the same colour as yours with a K20 in it going round Norwich, thats who we all thought you were! Your face was an absolute treat when you saw the Hondas!!!! Grinning from ear to ear.

Nice work mate :D Well first i had a white evo 6 but it was like a rusty bake bean can! That ek9 shell is MINT!, best condition car i ever owned! Right now i have a 1991 nissan skyline r32 gtr in black with a few nice mods pushing 376bhp not to shabby! PS Ride height looks spot on hope its not to bumpy :D

Not to shabby at all!:D yeah it is very tidy, hence the reason for wanting to take it off the road over winter. The car is sitting on buddyclub racing spec coilovers...and its solid!!!haha but I love it.
 
It's not often that a couple of mint EK9's go past, and yes i was smiling from ear to ear it made my day....( god that sounds sad ) iI had a boring day so it did.
Couple of things i need to do to my EG6 i need to move the number plate to the offside instead of the middle and i need to get some orange side lights and some yellow fogs.

Do you guys have aftermarket seat in your cars, or like low seat rails....i ask cause i'm just over 6" and when i saw you guys you all looked as if you sitting on the floor and peeping over you steering wheels....... i have stock EG6 seats and they are way too high.
thing is ek9 seats go for 500 - 600 quid......i'd rather spend that money on performance parts.....

Lol i know.. you hardly ever see one.. it's awesome because all of us live like 10 seconds from each other.. so some lush rides in a little ol village lol!
Naa bud i know exactly what you mean.. makes my day seeing just one.. so seeing us lot i would have been like this :D all daaay!

In answer too the seat rails.. Bacon off here has the VSM Silver EK9 has lower position seat rails.. he stands at 6 foot 4/5ish aswell.. I sit on the floor in mine as i am a shortass at 5 foot 4, same with my bro who had the DC5, but the C/W DC2 owner is 6foot2 ish and he sits on standard Recaroes/seat rails... there was only one of us missing that day he also is on the Forum, gotta B18'd civic EK4.. he has Sparco buckets and you can sit on the floor in them :)

I would get some lower rails from buddyclub but they won't fit standard seats.....
hmm i best get saving for some nice seats....EVO2 GSR seats maybe... ;)

One day i'd like to see if i can keep up with EK9's, my B16A made 184hp last time it was dyno'd
it made 201hp in japan aparently but they ran it on 102 ron which is pretty high octane tbh.
I am thinking about using some of that octane booster stuff that nos make they say it ups 2-3 octane numbers so if i use 99ron Vpower i should get the 102ron...that'd be fun to find out but i don't wanna ruin my engine.
the last thing i want is baaaa(VTEC)AAAARP......BANG :( not cool
