hi everyone,
ive just joined ek9.org. iv had a love for anything vtec since i first heard one, especially civics and to be specific: the ek models. i am 18 next month and looking to buy my first car. i am on the lookout for an ek4 civic,ek9 would be too expensive to insure at my age unfortunetly!iv been driving my mams 08 passat for the last year but now i tink its time to go my own road. anyone out there with any cheap ek4's?? drop me a line!
luke

i know a very very clean ek9 for sale in galway down as 1.6 on book or ya coud insure it proper.

Welcome man! One bit of advice, if your goin insuring a car insure it properly. If its a EK9 insure it as an EK9! There's enough people out there not doin it and crashing into people and not being covered then!

same what anto said if you tell dem its only a 1.6 your actually driving with no insurance, you prob know this already but just a heads up gud luck with finding a ek4 too,

Welocome dude,,,, :nice: Hope u find a mint EK4,

Dude you have to upfront and tell insurance companies exact what spec your car is :nice:

yeah its a 1.6 but if they are not told its type r god forbid he had an accident they would void his insurance and if he gets stopped by the piggies and has to produce insurance cert they will want to know if its insured ad a type r,

my renewal quote was 2047 euro and thats down as a vti, and they said i shouldnt get insurnace unless i was over 21 but becoz i allready had a policy with them they HAD to insure me.

Yeah I did, cost an extra €212 for the rest of my policy year...

thanks for the advice guys. ya i think at my age i am limited to an ek4. my budget would be about 5-6k max. i have to start somewhere i guess, and it will mean small at first.ya i am aware of the whole insurance deal with insuring something for something its not, wudnt go down that road.

Wel lad...i got mine for 5500 euro and quinn are insureing me for 2200 and im onli 18..The garage i got my s.i.r has a black teg type r for 6200 with black recaro interior..wud b nice too but i prefer the civics.
