New final drive and gears (maybe)

Hey I'm getting the mfactory 4.7 final drive for my ek9.Also putting in a new clutch and flywheel.Just wondering would it be better changing my 2nd gear,it seems a bit stiff to get into 2nd when the car is cold.Would I be better off changing it now while the box is out or is the 2nd gear sticking just because the car is cold.

When the box is opened, the person doing the work on it should be able to determine weather the syncro is wearing etc.....

And if it is then yeah, you might as well change there and then...

Change all your bearings and seals when you rebuild your tranny.

Also, have your mechanic check over all the synchros (rings and hubs/sliders) to check for wear.
