Tokyo DAY 2!!!

We started bright and early on day 2. Our friend in Tokyo picked us up in his HIACE after breakfast to head over to our first destination. FEEL’s Honda Twin CAM. Fortunately, FEEL’s was nice enough to give us part of their time to give us a shop tour. However, we were limited to what we can take pictures of. The shop has 2 levels. The service area and showroom is on the first floor.
The second floor is normally closed off to the public, which consisted of their ever so famous FD2 Type R Civic. We were not able to take any pictures due to their request. The FD2 according to their head mechanic/tuner weighed less than 800 kg!!! (1763 lbs) It was able to pull a 1’00”56 on the Tsukuba Circuit and a 1’53”25 at Fuji Speedway. Here are the pictures we were allowed to take:

You can see from this picture the second floor where they store their race cars. The FD2 cannot be seen, but the NSX Type R is visible through the window!

Stay tuned as N1 Concepts is working on bringing you FEEL’s TWIN CAM in the future!!! We thank FEEL’s TWIN CAM for giving us their time to show us around.

On our tight schedule, we took a 15 minute ride to our next destination. This shop does not need much introduction as their products are very popular here in the states. Type ONE.

Type ONE is a very clean shop. Their head mechanic greeted us and let us take many pictures. Unfortunately we were so awed that we didn’t take any pictures of the first floor where they had a few aggressive S2000 setups. We thank Type One for giving us the time to take pictures and give us a small tour of the shop.
Our next destination before we leave for Osaka is seen as a very prestige shop. So prestige that our friend in Japan says they don’t need signage on their building. People just know.

Yes…that was PowerHouse Amuse. During our visit, they were in a business meeting. We were not able to meet with the staff as we had to drive back to the JR station to catch our bullet train to Osaka. Hopefully we will be able to go back and get more coverage next time.

Stay tuned…next stop….. OSAKA!!!

 Such a great trip! You guys are so lucky! I can't wait for more :nice:

The next morning we had to wake up bright and early to catch a train out to Okayama. It is about 1.5 hours from Osaka via Shinkansen.
After getting off the train we were out in the country side. The air is clean, crisp and fresh, the sound of city life was non existent.
Our contact had sent one of their staff members to pick us up at the train station. It took about 15-20 minutes from the JR station to our next destination by car….
Mr. Hiyashi of Toda Racing welcomed us to their facility 
Due to the proprietary engineering and designs of Toda products, we were not allowed to take any pictures inside of their facility other than their showroom. I can say that seeing the Toda engine dyno and engine build room was breathtaking.
Mr. Hiyashi also allowed us on a test ride in their Toda FD2 Type R stroked 2.2. Very torquey!!! On with the pics
