Nürburgring Aug 2009

Thought I'd better post some pics from our trip, Ian (ijwhiteman) is still out there flying the EK9.org flag. I'm sure he'll have some nice pics to post up too when he gets back.

Overall its a friggin awesome place, one of the best action hols I've had in a long time. Just wish I could of stayed there longer...

Anyways will try to share as many pics as I can... especially for people who might never get the chance to go (although you really should!!!)

Then after a bit of a rest (14 hour journey for us ) we had a look around the car park and starting gate just to see what was what.

This is where you queue up to go and swipe you card loaded with laps (closed in the pic due to one of the many accidents...):

During the weekend we scouted out some nice spots to watch cars take on the track - went to the caroussel too but forgot my camera :

your so lucky i only got one picture of my car on track and that is my mates taking them. i wanted one on the carossel but i didnt get one, all my mates did though i was so jealous, more reason to go back again and again. looks like a sweet trip
the main building you have in some pictures wasnt even built when i went in june. amazzing transformation

Didn't we time your lap you video'd???

Went out with Ross in my car today showed him what i have learn't so far. h
He said my lines are good few areas not quite right. But the last lap we did he gave me some pointers especially through the very fast sections we think i'm in the low 9mins now compared to what i was doin last year.

LOL... Yeh but after the "minimal short lived loss of control" and several hold ups with a marshalls car it was hardly worth timing.

Just wish Tony could of activated video mode on the iphone on the previous lap cos that one was much better (and quicker)... sweaty hands arn't good with touchscreens

I'm actually finding it not fast enough through about 30% of my lap! Need more power!

think how bad it was in my car lol. the hill on the back straight i couldnt get past 70mph in 3rd gear with only 1 passenger, its silly

must be great.i can safely say ive never been flat out for 9 minutes in my car continously.maybe thats why you feel you need more power as you become too used to it.drive a micra for a while or something!!
