Parker...update

Totally forgot about this thread man :nerv:

Firstly thanks for the kind words on the car. Its recently underwent some changes. I took the car into Gerry @ PerformanceTek in Glasgow to get the engine rebuilt. Fully rebuilt with high compression CP Pistons and Brian Crower rods along with ACL Race Bearings. Also fitted whilst the car was in were EK9 throttle cable, HEL full length clutch line in Red, Tegiwa full alloy radiator, SFS hoses, ACT clutch and lightened flywheel.

While the engine was in Gerry kindly returned the shell so i could clean up the engine bay...

Quite happy with the outcome.

I also cleaned the backbox of my exhaust whilst it was off the car.

Heat wrapped my J's manifold

Got bored of the Volks in black so i changed them up a little...

and also bought myself a set of these to go with them....

Needed 2 new front tyres so i just went for Pirelli P-Zero Neros to match the back and save myself a wee bit of money seeing as the rears were fine.

Then fitted the wheels to the car for the JDMy0 photoshoot and begun the run in period. How the car looked on the day.

Run in period came and went so i got my mate Mertin to change the oil and filter on it then took it along to Henry Roy to get remapped on Crome. Car made 218bhp/154.1lb/ft. Really pleased with that considering its still running the standard cams. Feels amazing now, pulls alot better through the mid range!

I got bored of my Teins, they were too harsh for UK roads unfortunately and i found a good deal on a set of Cusco Zero 2's so i jumped on it. No pics of the changeover unfortunately. Cuscos feel alot better, more comfortable spring rates and damping. Perfect for what i use the car for! Here's a pic of it with its new stance. The front's about the same as before but the rear is raised a touch to give it a slight rake! :)

Had a spare rocker cover sitting around aswell and fancied doing something a little different with it. After discussing it with my mate we decided on a colour that would be a nice contrast in the bay. Thanks for my mate Andy for redoing the rocker cover. It came out great, really pleased with it! Also added a J's Racing oil cap to the mix aswell.

Since this pic i've modded some Tegiwa rad brackets so that the radiator doesn't sit right up against the frame.

Got a few wee bits i still need to sort on the car. Need a new idle control valve as mine is done. EK throttle cable bracket to tidy that up aswell. Still to fit my J's inner wing braces. Got a set of stickers for the TE37's along with a few other wee bits and bobs!

Ordering up a set of SW98's to run about on daily and gonna paint them the same colour as the cam cover i think. Always liked the OEM look of the 98 Spec so i think i'll like these. Means i can keep my Volks in good condition aswell! Think thats everything. Hopefully have some proper pics to post up very soon either by myself or by Dunsy... or maybe even both :nerv:

In the meantime, thanks to Gerry, Martin, Henry, Oz, Andy, my dad and all my mates who've helped me out recently. This car wouldn't be where it is without all the help and inspiration! Thanks also for all the kind comments from everyone who's taken the time to post in this thread. :D

absolutly stunning mate!! from what I regarded as one of the best tegs around it has now changed to THE best teg around!
It would look really nice with the 98 spec wheels id say white tho? thats the route im gonna go for on my one...
keep the pics coming alone mate, and I hope you don't mind me saving a couple :nice:

stunning mate nice choice of mods, is that gerrys k24 i spy in the background, took me a blast.... quick ! lol

Really like this (although I still think it looked best with the wheels red!)

How do you find the J's exhaust? Is it as loud as an N1?

Yeah Gav, that's Gerrys K24 EG in the back. Very quick car indeed, superb!

R2SS - I like the J's, its easy to keep it nice and quiet when you're trying to keep noise levels down but all hell breaks loose when Vtec kicks in. Its still not overbearing though, really nice sounding exhaust and glad i went for it. I'd say the N1 is maybe slightly louder as the 60 RS has a centre box aswell! :)

Thanks guys, really appreciate all the compliments! :D

Parker i noticed ur torque figure is excellent!!! 154.1lb/ft.
Did u increase displacement of the B18C with the pistons/rods??
