My Milano Red FN2

As a daily its pretty good. Got all the spec and toys that you want.

Considering it has the 19" rage wheels, it is surprisingly comfortable.

Im getting 28mpg however, which isnt great, but car is mapped and exhaust, so not sure how that is effecting things.

Nice looking motor, I've just finished modifying mine now it's running 230bhp and pulls like a train. Mods get a fast road setup done on it front plus the rear shims makes a massive difference, black skull caps plus LSD :))

Cheers mate, i just had a look at your thread. Impressive stuff, would love to do all that one day. Id like to know what im running, some people on Civinfo reckon with Toda and Group N it will be around the 220 mark, unsure though? I dont have any real plans atm, possibly get one of the CAI intakes.

How does it drive?

It drives well, very smooth. A lot less aggressive than my ek9. Which is good as when i drive it again it will be mega!

Mine was running 220bhp with a catback, flashpro and Tegiwa intake so yours should be similar

220bhp would be impressive, i would be happy with that for just now. Will have to get it on a RR at some point for true reading.

Was in a car park on saturday so took some photos.

No real updates apart from Wind Deflectors and LED bulbs (Sidelight, Number Plate & Interior)

Next update will be intake of some sort and audio.

C&C welcome

Thinking of getting one of these, how does it compare to an EK9?

Any tips or advice on picking one?

I'm looking at a 2008 GT model on Friday.

The FN2 & EK9 are totally different, but still equally good cars imo.

The FN2 is comfy, refined, well built and has all the toys – only things i don’t like are high seat position, and brake feel on a spirited drive.

EK9 is pretty raw, noisy, not as comfortable, basic.

The K20 is much easier to use over the B16b, with much more “torque” lower down making it easier to drive. The FN2 is faster in a straight line, ek9 would destroy it in the bends.

Fuel consumption is similar – im getting 28mpg. If your going to view one just the usual visual checks, fsh etc. Early models suffered from 3rd gear problems, I think this was sorted by 08 models. Be best to target a GT model, 90% of FN2 seem to be GT’s anyway. GT comes with higher spec (dual zone climate, front fogs, auto lights/wipers, cruise control, and a refridgertated glovebox) – here is a link to common faults.

Cheers for the info! Test driving tomorrow.

Is there any good forums specific to FN2's?

 Nice FN2!
We also have one in my family: black 2007 FN2 with GP kit, Toda manifold, ORC clutch, Carbonetic LSD, Brembo GT brakes front and Dixcel+ProjectMu rear...

Well, a standard Ek9 against a standard Fn2, can be slightly different. As you said, in straights FN2 is slightly faster, but just a bit if not nearly the same, remember it weights a lot. But in bends if the driver is good and the tires are ok, both can stay at the same times, one rear the other. Proven in close mountain bends...

Not really done much to this of late.

Fitted wind deflectors, 4300k HID’s for da OEM look.

Got a CPL CAI intake to fit – car will need a proper map with this on, and possibly looking at up rating the brakes/suspension in the new year.

Also fitted winter tyres and wheels last night….saves the Rage wheels getting ruined in the **** weather.
