Well as stories go ive been speaking with will about getting my car mapped for a while now as i didnt trust the map that was on the car and wanted to know it was right.

The car before i got to will was very jerky, on light loads and moving around in slow traffic the car was a pain to drive :(( it was using alot of fuel and made me look like i couldnt drive with all its jumping around!

So i got to Wills place early last sat morn to crack on with the car. First off will gave the car a good look over then got it up in the air to get the wideband lambda plumbed in,removed my knock sensor as im running hondata and fitted my aem fuel pressure reg and set fuel pressure.

As the time went by all i can say is that i was amazed by his level of attention to detail and knowledge, the conversation was flowing all morning and i learnt alot!! by now i was more than confident i had chose the right tuner! :nice:

Once the car was on the floor the laptop was plumbed in and will checked the map before we set off to the rollers (about 3 1/2 hours had past upto now so you can imagine how detailed the workmanship was)

Got to the dyno, the car was strapped down, final checks on the car (apart from my tyre pressures as the bloody valve caps wouldnt come off  ) The car was run up and made 175bhp@wheels and 125ft.lb torque.

The car let out a massive cloud of black smoke which was unburnt fuel as it hit vtec and set the fire alarm off in the building so we took a little break while it cleared lol

Once all the crap had cleared will disappeared inside the car and i let him work his magic. Time passed by and i could hear the car sounding better, it was crisper, it sounded responsive, it sounded like a type r engine once more :) i chose to have a smooth transition to vtec, im not chasing numbers with this car, i wanted a smooth drive with a kick to put a smile on my face when i wanted it! Will was told this and off he went

By the end of the day i ended up with 190bhp@wheels and 135ft.lbs torque :nice: he had gained me power all the way up the revs and at points it jumped over 30bhp!! :D torque was the same with me gaining 30ft.lbs in places and more torque all over the range!!

The car is only describeable as amazing! i gave it gas when i got back on roads i knew and had to hold on for the first time in a while, i was shocked. ive since been on motorways to a few meets and the torque is easily noticeable when putting your foot down! The car is a dream to drive, so smooth on light loads round town and in traffic, i feel repetative but i cant explain the difference!!

So in all i would like to say a massive thanks to Will, easily the best tuner ive ever dealt with and genuinely a nice guy! and to anyone thinking of tuning there honda then get in touch with this guy no matter how big or small your project, he treats the car like his own and ill confidently say he's gonna get the best power out of it!

Now. . .im off driving :drive:

Sounds good. Obviously the last fella who mapped couldn't have cared less. I've heard a few good stories bout him. I reckon he could be worth taking a trip across the water to for a good map.

Fairplay to Will. Sounds like your very happy with the car now

Sounds a genuine guy and you seem very pleased mate!

Seen the work on John's car aswell! Will definately keep this guy in mind!

Thanks for sharing bud:nice:

thanks for the kind words Dan, appreciate it!.. now get that graph scanned up. Sorry I havent got around to downloading them off of the Dyno, will try find time at somepoint soon. Glad your enjoying the recalibration.

Will

well done will. sorry i havent been in touch. been really busy with uni but as soon as im off for the summer i will be in touch mate.

cant explain the difference, ill get the dyno prinout up tomora for you lads to have a look at.

the map that was on there before was bloody horrid! sure will can back that up, it was running lean all over the power range, power flat lined when vtec kicked in, my injectors were running 100% duty for most of the map and it had a stupid 9k rev limit??!!

all is well tho and now im happy :) happy enough to put my evo 6 plans on the back burner for a while

if i wanted to go further with the car power wise i would have no worries getting forged high comp and throttle bodied build done by will!

all in all this guy in my opinion is worth travelling for

Running lean with your injectors at 100% D.C:wow: Do mean maybe very rich?

you guys are so lucky to have will...i haven't met him in person but i have read his name alot here in this forum and all are good comments...so jealous of you guys to have him tune your rides...

wills gonna have a que round the block for a mapping session :D

glad your enjoying it mate, its mad what a good map can do :nice:

Hi Will, I know u busy all times, Hope u hav time to check my car for me on this week coming^^
thx

Another success story.

Wish you were cheaper Will :p

What mods do you have?

Them results are very nice, and all this talk of silky smooth driving is getting me going! All I need now is a manifold before I will be booking my car in with Will!

Josh..

That guys sounds like a god to what I've read. Nice job on the tune =]

Another good story, Kudos for will :nice:

If i decide on going for some engine work i would be very inclined to hand it over to will.

What mods do you have to get a mighty figure of 190WHP? Thats like 220-225bhp.

josh and ek9dan- my mods are:

b18c6
skunk2 stage 2 cams, springs and retainers
skunk2 cam gears
70mm t/b and ported manifold
5zeigen 4-2-1 manifold
baffled decat
cat back fujitsubo exhaust
exedy lightweight flywheel
standard intake
spoon high comp headgasket
uprated leads
standard injectors and aem fuel pressure reg

cheers dude!

i went racing yest, damp track and bad launches, pulled 14.5 all day long!

was crossing the line at 97mph average and 60fts were 2.2 to 2.4.

alot of wheel spin! i couldnt get the balance of throttle right to get gone quickly, launch control at 4800rpm.

i tried to drop my tyre pressures but forgot my valve caps are stuck on so i was running 38psi all day on my 16" wheels :angry2:

next visit ill be running r888's on my standard 15's up front
