I have a 2000 EK9 rx and im so happy :win:

Me and my friend just had an epic road trip to pick up this car on Tuesday.. It was only Manchester to Devon, 260 miles, piece of cake! I had a quick look at trains and buses but before i went any further my friend offered to take me down in his daily car to repay me for the trip down to london we did last year to pick up his ex-scooby!
So the next day the journey begins :
10am he meets me at my house and we give the beast a little oil (My friends DC2 in the background).

Quick fuel up and a McDonalds and were on our way, expecting to arrive in Devon at around 2 ish

So apart from the huge traffic jam we got stuck in we were making good time and about half way there untill....

The pistons decide to go for a jog and were at the side of the motorway putting out small engine fires with McDonalds Breakfast orange juice :nerv:

So we could either call it a day, get the car home and try another day or...
Get AA membership and get the car towed to the nearest scrap yard and get public transport down..

The kind man at the scrap yard would only give us £100 for the fiesta, and it had £40 worth of fuel in it :nono:
But the AA man was cool and droped us off at a random train station in worcester

Big thankyou to my girlfriend Jess for sorting out all the train times while we were shuck on the motorway. We got a 30 minute train to Cheltenham Spa RS and then a two hour train to Exeter 16 miles from devon :nice: wasn't cheap!!
We arrived in Exeter at 7.45pm.. 6 hours behind schedule
Danni was kind enough to pick us up from the train station and we went straight to the nearest petrol station so i could see the car properly for the first time

Not the most ideal way to view a car but they had good strong lights in there and i was so shocked at the condition of this car, she said every panel was perfect and it really is :)) i was so pleased so the deal got dealt and we were on our way home.
We set off from Manchester at 10am and got home at 3am
but wow what a car, its just amazing, in every way. I love love love it :drive:
I took it over snakes pass today and had a little fun
