My EK9 K24/K20 Build Thread

Every single 96-00 hatch produced for the US or Canada are EJ6's

thats what i dont agree on it also. because of different country built it CANT be called what it is in the country of origin???... so what if theres different suspension, motor, etc..the car looks like a ek to me and to everybody else i that see's it. idk.. i guess im just complaining alittle but "ej" nah.. and its a 1.6 liter also. non v. not a 1.4..

If it says EJ on the chassis number it's an EJ, simple. No matter what you do to the car, it will still be an EJ

Not having a go, but i also don't see what the fuss is!

This engine project will be interesting=)

Sorry mac, but ej6 and the ek9 got many different detalis, but same ground chassis:)

But its no big deal. Keep us updated on that engine buillt!

Just let the man call his car whatever he likes! many of you claim below 6" 1/4 on stock engine and noone blames you for it!!! K24, difficult build in terms of making power and keeping it reliable. good luck man!

I wasnt having a go mate was just informing you it wasnt an EK9

I know what you mean - the car is still called an 'EK' nobody does refer to them as EJ's.

The reason I brought it up is because you called it an EK9 which it most definately isnt.

You can just about swap every part of an EK9 onto your car but there is one reason why you still won't have an EK9 and that is the chassis, the chassis of an EK9 is much stiffer. The rest you can swap easy and then you practically have an EK4+ :p

Really looking forward to the engine build, should be a proper monster when it's done!

wow..honestly didnt know that.
also thnx everyone else for your comments. like i said before not trying to start a argument just discussing my thoughts on the whole car code thing. honestly..now i want to import a true ek4-ek9. keep THIS car as a daily/project and have a "true" ek. i will be looking up research on importing automobiles, insuring them and registration so keep on the lookout for me :nice:.
as far as building a k20/24 idk why it wouldnt be reliable??..
