My EK9 in Okinawa

I've seen your thread on honda-wreck and i really like your car. Great job.

Mistaken identity! There's an american chap who was from okinawa but now on the mainland with an amazing cw ek9.

I love the Type R, great car and is nice to see that mounster from the honda land

Finally took a engine shot since it's looking a bit better then when I first got her. This was taken right after i painted my strut bar and spark plug cover. I painted my strut bar since my yellow valve cover should be here this weekend and red + yellow = McDonalds! I painted the spark plug cover because Password:JDM has the nastiest looking carbon/kevlar weave ever with bright yellow strands, plus is as thin as paper. I emailed them when I got it cause their picture looks like the spoon weave and colour. They told me "it's for lightweight race use, so it doesn't matter what the weave looks like or the colour of the kevlar". It's a spark plug cover, how is that a weight reducer? Wouldn't I just remove it if I wanted to lose weight? I saved a few grams...woopy, I wanted it for looks. Note to self never buy their crap again and let everyone know about their crappy products. Anyways, the spoon header has turned a nice deep gold and is starting to get a light purple tint, with 0 finger prints. I will update with a picture after the valve cover gets here.

BTW, if you are wondering...I never had the stock spark cover that's why I painted it to match the strut bar insted of smashing it and sending it back to P:JDM, we'll see what it looks like against yellow.

Thanks....Yeah, where we live was totally unaffected. I did up to Tokyo for a few weeks right after it happened to help out though.

Nice pics. I gt told that ek9's aren't worth much as it's old and it's pretty common over there?? That's what I got told anyways. Keep the pics coming :) :nice:

Not one bit common and really expensive...ITR's are a dime a dozen on the other hand.
