Hay guys off to the nurburing on Thursday so trust this to happen !

Drive it last night no problems all fine

Today went to get some stuff it just cut out on start so I had a go again and failed I kept revs up to warm it and it still cut out

I drove it down the road holding the revs drove fine etc got it warm and stoped and it cut out

I've taken the iacv off and used carb cleaner fitted back on and no luck

What else can I do !!!

I've seen the ICM in distributor when faulty to cause engine to cut out at idle

Inside the distributor, underneath the shield that is behind the rotor.

ok so weridly i tried somthing little and i banged the IACV to hopefully free it up.... its worked !

will get a new one if i can but it seems to have done the trick :)

ok I have swapped the IACV over and im still geting the same problems dez did with the car

also when its hot and I pull up the revs go up and down by 1200/2000 rpm and then settle down after 30secs

any idears ?

Try another IACV as you prob got another dud, trying one from a friends car (EK4/9/ITR etc) would narrow things down.

ok car has cut out and wont restart now, it just went flat on the A5 revs dropped and didnt pick up, took the dizzy cap off and the rotar looked fooked so ive put a new cap and arm on but still no luck.

Am I looking at a new igniter if so who sells them apart from honda ?

thanks guys
