My DC2 - K20A Swap *Updated 30/01/13

Hi People, Just Picked up my 6th Integra DC2 :/ I have yet to own a EK9 so dont hate me

Its a Standard 96 Spec ITR in Granada Black, Perfect base, very clean shell and Rare in Black.

Working away at this in Vtec6000's place, he will be my Guide and responsible for all the wiring/tuning and making sure I dont break anything! Vtec6000=Brains B@Z=Brute labour/driver.

Got the Engine out saturday and started cleaning up the K20 today, Cleaned the engine bay and pulled off the OEM side, Drivers Engine Mount.

Fitted a 98 rear bumper which came straight of a Black ITR - handy, and A momo Race 320mm Wheel also.

Dropping the B18C. Engine was since rebuilt with Wiesco Pistons and some other goodies and is now fitted to my mates EK4 Civic.

K20 Arrived from the Breakers, 2003 JDM K20A/LSD Gearbox from a Low Mileage DC5.

Get some pics up of your new parts I will likely be buying the tegiwa radiator in the near future so pics of it would be nice

I've heard good things about that karcepts intake too! should see you to the 250 mark nicely with those mods!! Will be keeping a keen eye on this.

Yea I will, Iv seen a B series tegiwa rad and it looked tasty, handy there doing k swap parts now too!

Wiring aside its actually not a hard swap! Vtec6000 will be getting me a Kpro, probably be next week after everything is fitted and he sorts the wiring, Should have mounts etc by sat! Cant wait to drive it now, hopefully make mondello for the 32 trackday

Are you gonna use your own loom and wire it into with the dc5 one.

Yeah i seen a few a few people saying its not that hard just the cost and amount of parts needed. Theres alot of oem parts that you can use that people dont realize you can use.

Vtec6000 wiring up his own loom, using Hasport shafts my own went with the b18, there 250 not a bad price! People use oem rads etc but the market is flooded with k swap parts now, if you shop around there not too dear, but theres a never ending list!

Ya b18s are a waste of time unless you go over size.
Hope to be back in a honda next month as altezza is going up on dungdeal weekend .

Bit of progress this weekend: Oem drivers mount off, smoothened down and painted.
Got the 2 legs and shock towers sprayed up and then ran out of paint Will finish the firewall tomorrow and that's the bay ready to go, no wire tuck/flushed holes or any of that sort of thing
