Hi guys

since the day i brought my 9 in august, it takes between 4-8 seconds before the dam thing starts up. now im due to service it anyway and the starter motors turning like a dream but just not firing up well.

im guessing there old spark plugs or i may need new leads which is causing this small problem

can anyone confirm is.......so im 100% sure and havent missed anything out.

thanx

I guess you took it for a mechanic's confirmation before you bought it, right?? :nerv:

distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs, leads, and possibly main relay. naturaly the battery is important too so just have it checked.

Had problem like that with previous car. Was dodgy spark plug So changed the four and also changed the leads I also would change the fuel filter The pump might be understrain to push the fuel for starting due to this. but thats the least likely:nice:

your funny.......NOT!!! what part of advise you didnt you understand, your sarcasticness not welcome
Sarcastic?? No way!! I made a very serious question.......is because I saw similar incidents with my own eyes and I try not to offend people even when some things are simple you know.....

Check your power distributor after you've checked your plugs. The problem shouldn't be too far off. If the distributor is ok then might be the coils inside.:nice:
