I know its not an ek9 but its not far away and i always got alot more help on this forum so i thought id stick a thread up of my new car.
its my 2nd dc2, 3rd B18 powered jdm car and 6th honda in less than 3 years so you could say im a bit honda mad lol
i sold my B18 ek9 recently and i was going to keep my other dc2 and spend a bit of money making it quicker but then i seen this for sale and had to go see it. it looked unreal in the ad and i wasnt disappointed when i went to see it so couldnt walk away!
its a 1999 jdm Integra type R with 82000 miles on it and it looks and drives like a new car, i was seriously impressed with the bodywork and interior. and when i got it over the pit at home i found it was just as mint underneath, and very well undersealed.
heres a quick spec:

championship white 1999 dc2, approx 82000 miles
jdm B18c engine with s80 gearbox (4.785 final drive) and standard LSD
itg carbon boxed induction kit
large red nology leads
iridium plugs
skunk2 pro intake inlet manifold
skunk2 70mm throttlebody
standard 98spec 4-1 manifold
full mugen twinloop exhaust system
Apexi VTEC controller
tanabe 35mm suspension
tegiwa x-brace with upper and lower tie bars
tegiwa lightweight underdrive crank pulley
air con removed
avon zv5s all round
Rear anti-roll bar and droplinks powder coated
lower tie bar powder coated
japanese sun Mugen rockercover
and mugen oil filler cap
mint red recaros.

heres some phone pics of when i got it and a few down at portstewart a couple of sundays ago, we got a bit of a convoy going lol

Nice teg mate. Did you paint the rocker cover yourself? Looks good! I'm a detail painter by trade, paint plenty of rocker covers that's for sure!! I also wondered, have you ever been pulled with that front numberplate? It's a bit small! Police round my way would have you for that :(

Looks lethal lad and sounds the part too. Seen this car is the flesh guys and it is what I would describe as 'mint'., would put a LOT of newer cars to shame, that's for sure.

looks the part, definitely recognise it from somewhere!?! the rocker cover is a mugen rep btw.

Really clean teg there man, some good stuff on it too :D

I believe this was on sale on pistonheads few months back???
Im sure i recognise the numberplate...

yeah probably was up on PH for sale. cheers lads im really happy with it so far it goes really well!
i raced a well spec'd DC5 and sat right on his bumper, and raced an ep3 with hondata etc and pulled about 4 lengths on him to 120. very close race between this and maffys B18 ek9 though, i can pull a wee bit in 1st and 2nd probably due to the 98 specs higher final drive but after that its dead even!

Really nice 98 spec looks well looked after. Have you got any plans or are you just going to enjoy it as it is?

thanks mate, no i didnt paint it myself but its really well done. i havent had any bother with the numberplate but its only a matter of time i would imagine. ill get a jap plate made up soon anyway.
plans at the minute are to enjoy it and keep it mint! i might look into ECUs after a while but im happy with the way it is at the minute

Mcdess old teg,One of the best left its a cracker mate!

cheers mate. yeah thats the one, I was chatting to him about it last week there he really loved this car! lol

Just a quick update on this, the car has been covered in the shed for the last few months but im starting work on it now to hopefully have it out for easter.
Plans at the minute are to sell the twinloop for something less restrictive and louder and maybe the ITG for a mugen CAI. I need to get some genuine H badges too.
Im also going to give it a full service soon with fresh engine and gearbox oil, oil and fuel filters and iridium plugs and hopefully get it fully detailed before its out.

Nice looking teg :D

Deffo get rid of the Twinloop theyre far too quiet & restrictive.
Much more fun with a louder exhaust system ;)
