MY 1999 HONDA CIVIC B16B, can it be vortech supercharged? or turbo

ok im planing to supercharge my car, my question is that is it possible to do so and is it worth it? im planning to get the voretch supercharger kit for it. will it work and how many pounds of boost and hp can i expect to get from it?
alot of people would say not to supercharge it or turbo it....... well how much hp can u get if u had all the money in the world to upgrade the b16b ya idk and thats why im asking, i kinda want more speed or something fun like a sc... so help me out

that still doesnt really help me much , pretty much every one have the same questions as me, and the people who do super/turbo it doesnt give much info on how they did it, they just put how much hp they have and pounds of boost

you never asked how to do it, you asked if it was possible and how much power you would make and it looks like you got your answers, do you have a new question now? I am more than willing to help but i am just not sure what you are asking at this point.

I dont really like vortech... boost comes on too late. Better go for a 5psi-6psi turbo system.

with that being said, how much horse pw will it produce and how many punds of boost will it get w/o blowing up i can expect from it?

question 3- 1000$ AND UP!!!
question 4- proably around 225 hp.
question 5- you cant control boost on a super charger, you get what comes in the kit
question 6-it can take up to 10 psi all day. more if youd like.

why???? to be different of course =p im not trying to keep my honda forever but while i do have it, WHY NOT =), only 225hp? wtf thats it???????? its already stocked at 180 and i have a air intake and dual tanobe mufflers( it hink thats what its called) i think i have like 200-220 hp, so ill only go up to liek 20 hp? i thoguht it would be like 60 or so hp

ive tried going to a lot of honda websites but they dont say anything about how to put it on and stuff they only says "which ones are better jrsc or votech", i want it install and tuned professinally anyways , i think i can get a used kit (has 8,000 miles ont he sc) for liek 1500, how much u think it would cost to get in tuned/installed?

You do not have 220whp, you don't even have 220bhp. You should spend sometime researching and learning about actualy wheel horsepower and what it is. If you have a b16b you have about 150whp stock if your lucky, adding an intake and full exhaust maybe you will get 160whp if you are lucky once again. Now see that going from 145whp to 225whp is actually a big jump of about 65whp which can be further increased with mods and tuning.

every shop is different, best to start finding shops in your area and ask them.

like blinx says, Vortech is a very expensive kit.

Boost wont come on till 4000rpm because of the old Vortech blower. But its very reliable.

You can boost max 6psi stock engine with 98 octane. 4psi-5psi if you have **** fuel.

hell no i dont make 200 WHP, id wasent even replying to whp..... what u think about how much it would cost(a esimate)?to get it tuned and installed? about 500-1500? and how reliable is the vortech supercharger anyways, im buying a used one (1500 good deal?)from a dude that said he put 8k on the sc already,

im not trying to make my honda the quickest in the world and race other honda's saying OOOO MINES QUICKER, im just trying to make it a lil more funner to drive,

1500 is a good price if it has all the parts and the SC is still in good shape, it the SC is bad it can cost as much as $600-1000 to rebuild it!!

sorry i was just going by the spec's or the output w/e and not actual WHP. how would u even rebuit a Sc anyways?

I've no idea, its not something the average person or even a skilled mechanic can do, you would have send it to vortech for them to rebuild it as I'm sure you would need certain precision measuring tools etc...
