Hi there,

Every now and then I visit the forum so might as well sign up. Well, actually I have to if I want to send personal messages.

My name is Maarten Pijnenburg, 22 and a bit atm and I come from the Netherlands.
I started at the age of 18 with a Flamenco Black Pear Honda Integra Type-R. Modded that in a few months with the basics like I, H, E, FPR, ACT clutch, Lightend flywheel, TE37's, CF hood, some guages (Oil press and temp), Iridium sparkplugs (for what that's worth), MSD ignition, different headgasket, valve job and some minor things I might have forgotten.
Used to break down a lot so sold it after 1.5 year.

Then bought an EP3, facelift. Bought it from someone who was 66. Bought it for himself at the age of 63 and in those 3 years only put 17.000 KM! on it. That car was ace. Didn't want to modify it in any way for it was that nice. Drove it too much. Put another 17k on there and sold it after 6 months. Wasn't as fun of a car as the DC2.

I wanted to buy an S2k but just didn't fit in it propperly. Hesitated about a 350Z but for a number of reasons bought a BMW Z4 (E85) instead. 2.5iS with SMG transmission. Brilliant sound when downshifting. Lovely car. It really was.
Sold that after almost 2 years and 70k km's because I wanted to buy a 4 seater BMW 130i. Went to look at a few and drove a couple. Again, what a hella (southpark) sweet car that was but I didn't buy it.

Started to think what I really would like and it kinda had to be a Honda. I was 21 at the time and by accident came up with the idea to buy an Integra again. Not a DC5, again a DC2 since that was such a good car. I always wanted to be the first in Holland with a Y-56 EK9. However, since some other guy beat me to it (back when I bought the Z4 he bought the EK9) I wanted to be the first one with a Y-56 DC2. Not a JDM one, an EUDM. That color was only availible in Switserland and there are 53 of them around.
Found a real nice one. Drove there, had a look at it, bought it even though it was real expensive. I had to actually. 67000 km's 2nd owner, service manual fully filled out and never had any damage.
Minor set back was the fact you have to pay 19% VAT since Switserland is not part of the EU, another 10% tax (to import a car from outside the EU) on top of the amount you bought the car for WITH the 19% and still another tax (BPM). So all in all I kinda paid a lot for it but I don't mind. This is a car I want to have for ever.
I bought is somewhere in June but imported it on the 17e of November.
Soichiro Honda's birthday for those die hard enthousiasts. it's all in the details you know.

Soooo that is a little bit about me. Want to drive 5k a year in it at the max. Kinda want that Paul Doughton to detail my car in the future since I only drive it in good weather and not sure if I want to upgrade it ever.
If I do I want the Moton suspension, a custom CF underbody from the front bumper to the rear with a barely visible diffusor, custom exhaust from a former BMW F1 specialist I know, ITB's, engine blueprint, 11.000 rpm. If I do I'll go berserk on it and only upgrade with the most expensive parts.

Anyway. It is stock as we speak an I might just leave it that way. Not sure yet.

As a daily I've had an EJ9 (Civic 3 door hatch 1.4i) for over 3 years now.
Only a few months ago I started modding that. First got the 1.4iS gasket (+15 horse according to some. Don't know about that but it is a lot faster), OEM EK9 catback, cat converter, D16Z6 EM, put in OEM electric windows, mirrors and power locking. tinted the windows in the back, got an OEM EK9 spoiler (that made all the difference in downforce, holy moly), EK9 black recaro's (real bad shape but the'll do for now). 282mm EK9 brakes in front and 262mm EK9 brakes in the rear with PU rubbers. Presumably bought an OEM EK9 suspension set the other day but still not sure about that. I'll ask that in a bit somewhere on the forum.

Only thing left to do is really an engine swap.
Not sure if I will because I'm planning to buy an EK9 shell and build that as a daily.

Other than that I have an EG3, EG5 and EG6.

I think there is a minimum of 3 or 4 post prior to posting photo's so I still owe you a few of my cars.

Think that covers it all.
Cheers.

Sigh, edit a typ-o with another typ-o

Hello and welcome to the forum! Lucky you to have an Type R as a first car :nice:

Was it a complete different thing when you changed from EP3 to a Z4? Also, that's a lot of cars you've owned !! :D

Thanks guys for the warm welcome. At the forum I usually attend, I get real aggravated when people don't or barely introduce themselves prior to posting messages.

I'm going to try to post some pictures:
Though I have some troubles lately to see the pictures myself, others, especially with Safara, can see them (only the next two pictures might have that issue).

Yea I've actually had this idea for quite some time.
I want to tweak the handling harcore. The Integra is a FWD car that can kick some serious buttocks on the track. Even stronger cars often struggle keeping up. I've taken the black one to the track several times and I think it will benefit from a completely flat underside with diffusor.

I've got a few connections to make this happen but I want to extensively test it first. Heat transfer and cooling is the main thing I should keep in mind. Don't want the engine to run hot on some places so I want to run a few laps with sensors in the engine bay on several places. Examen the data and store it. Then run again with undertray and see where it needs cooling or where it starts to run hot. Maybe get some guages in the cabin to see it real time. Ah well. Ideas enough, need to save up first.

wowww you must be super rich

who owns the NA1?

any pics?

are they AO48s all round?

No, I'm actually not. I never go out, don't have a girlfriend and I put all the money I have, make or get in the car. I'm always broke but that did pay off in cars as you can see.
A friend of mine, actually his dad bought the car and tuned it extensively. However due to some back issues he can't get in anymore (even I have troubles getting in lol). He gave it to his son.

The DC2 is sitting on A048 all round indeed. I've had the Potenza RE050, RE050A on my first Integra, the RE040 and RE050A on the EP3 and the RE050A RFL on the Z4. That was one hell off a good tire. Though I drove the pre mentioned cars daily and in the rain etc it had to be an all round tire. Since I only take the yellow one occasionaly and only with dry weather, the A048 outperforms the Potenza's. I was used to the grip levels of the Potenza but the A048 is on a whole nother lever. They are starting to ware and I'm thinking of getting the Potenza RE-11 or the Advan Neova AD08 though I really don't like how the latter one looks. The DC2 likes a stiff sidewall and Bridgestone usually is the way to go.

And indeed you got to love the yellow Recaro's. Real hard to find one (in Switzerland) that for starters hás the yellow seats and if they do they usually are look like ass.

I found another picture you guys are defenately going to like. This is where the DC2 always spends the night and we put the yellow EK9 of a friend next to it.
Got to love it. I wanted to close the garage and keep the car. Still love the yellow EK9. (He was the guy who beat me to it, being the first one in the Netherlands with a yellow EK9 -_-' )

I'll update my profile in a second but need to spam three posts in order to reply PM's!

Hi guys,

It's been a while since my last update in my own topic.
A lot has happend in my personal life and plans have changed.

The Integra I have is still OEM and will stay like that. No tweaking the suspension or making a hardcore NA car. Reason for that is just down below..

To sum up how my trailerpark garage looks like at the moment here is an impression:

The DC2 is still my pride and joy with only around 75.000 km. I only drove like 500 km or less this year and has easily been standing still for over 6 months. It's just for keeps but sometimes I wonder if I should sell it. Why? Just keep reading...

Then there is the EK9. Bought this as a shell from Livvy about 2 years ago. I've been prepping the shell and buying only the best OEM parts with almost no wear and tear, rare parts and just cool stuff for it in the mean time. It's almost ready for final assembly. Just hardly have time thes days to work on it unfortunately. It has just been my hobby and cost me like a fortune already. Not sure what I want to do with it since the Honda scene is basically dead in the Netherlands. We'll cross that bridge when we get there.. I think I'm just going to add it to the collection and put it away.

I've recently sold the EJ9 for we had no use for it anymore.

I got an OEM CRX gen 2 from first owner waiting to be rescued from rust when the Niner is finished. Next project to put my money in. I just love Honda's and love working on them.

About a year ago I bought an EG coupe with rollcage and fuel cell. It has no engine because the guy I bought it from used it in another car. This was ideal for me since I want to use it as a fun car to take to the track with a couple of friends. An expensive engine is therefor out of the question and I'm going to buy a relatively cheap B16A2 to put in. My friends can do just fine with 160 horse and when they do blow up the engine it's not that heart breaking for me lol.

Then finally there is my Beemer. I said it before, Honda is truly where the heart is but it defenately has to share first place with BMW. For the true driver experience there is no beating a 6 in line RWD car. I therefor have a full option 130i from '06 with a few nice parts.
I've repainted it completely in the factory tint with a minor adjustment. We left out a few 'ingredients' to make the color 'pop' a little bit more. Came out great but doesn't show up in pictures. It has a BMW-Performance intake and I'm saving up for a custom exhaust system from a very reputable company. Pushing somewhat 270 horse and it's a sublime car to drive. So much power and torque. It only is really really lacking a diff so that is also on my wish list.

Anyway so there you go. You could say I'm a real petrol head and I love cars. Lucky we have the space to put all the cars under one roof so I don't really need to sell anything. It's just so expensive to insure everything. That is why I sometimes consider selling just everything and buying a new Z4 3.5i or something..

That thought, however, often fades when looking at everything I have. I just love it all and worked so hard for it.

Thanks for reading! It's always nice to share a passion!
