Anyone know the reason for this reverse B setup?? Looks pretty cool. Would love to know the benefits.

Ye it's a reverse head like the old Neil brown h20 btcc engines. Fast eddies racing in the US built a h22 reverse head motor too.
Very complex but awsome.

Is there any reason or advantage in this? They look to be using a cold air feed threw the head light so its not for improving cold air to itbs, the engine is also sitting a wierd angle, when i seen this first i though mental,..some one has turned a b around to suit a k gearbox, but i dont think thats the case,

Cant find any info on this eder, Mayb just for publiicty or to prove they can do something differntly, but open to correction if peopple can find info on it?

What are the four circles on the drivers side of the valve cover ?

it cant be a reversed head as the timing belt is still on the right hand side!! so the engine is in right position!! maybe they made that b series ignite anti clock wise??

It is reverse head, engine is in correct way but head is back to front, note that the cam pulleys are where the distributor normally are

Can't wait to read the explanation for this..

if its the whole engine is turned maybe its running a K gearbox?

This was my initial thought but then I noticed the cam gears on the same side as they usually are. So its only the head that is switched round. Confusing!

Seems like alot of work for no gain by the sounds of it! Only think i can see it done for is the exhaust set-up, everything else is as it should be??

The old JTCC civics ran a reversed head on a H22, as mentioned before.

Benefits are, a direct air feed and not having an exhaust manifold that has to curve around the entire block.

Should be worth the effort, this will make power!

this is a serious amount of work

its most often done so that the engine will run backwards so that it can be used for RWD applications

using it for FWD i cant see any advantage bar a bit more cold air
