Making you'r own Lower Arms ?

Yes it does, most likely some dodgy perspective in that top photo.

yes, its a complex part with all the strange angles, i assume it is hard to get an accurate shot of this. ANYWHO -- works fantabulously

Larry do you have a link where to buy those lower arms from?

I asked compbrake years ago if they would make a set for a renault 5 gt turbo with proper rose joints etc, ''no problem send us the lower arms and we will mock something up''

I would be up for a set of these and would gladly throw some money in to the pot if needed.

You could proabley do the same with the upper arms and make those adjustable with proper rose joints instead of a slider type of arrangement.

I like the sound of the upper arms too and they would prbs be easier to fab too !!

They have not been made because of cost there is a big market for the 205 so costs can be kept down due to high turnover but the civic ek is a very small market so these would cost to much to produce in small numbers. I do know a firm who could do this quite easily but is it worth it?

Are you forgetting the fact that the honda Civic is the most modified car in the world ever... ??

well i know somone who mite be able to test these.

But i was thinking about the practicality of them really. do they do under that much more than the upper arms ?

I mean if compbrake can make 205 lower arms i dont see why they couldnt mock up a set for a Civic ... or maybe another rally company for that matter.

But i was more thinking of making somthing that would look more like Dc2 lower arms. they seem some what lighter and slightly better designed over EK lower arms.

Just as an FYI the EK arms are lighter than the stock dc2 arms.

i don't know about if the dc2's have omni billets fitted though
ek9 arms are roughly (bathroom scales i'm afraid) 5kg each and the dc2's are 7.5kg each

Are you sure? What about the classic mini?

The Wicked arms are good but lack adjustability they are simply standard arms with spherical bearings quite easy to produce.

Yeah man of course i'm sure, lol. think global not just u.k.

the vw golf is high on the list also..

wow defo need to get some of these sorted then hey.

What modifications do you lot think could be done to the rear end ?

anyone got any pics of the rear suspension on DC5's from the likes of Team Dynamics etc or they're EP3s ? from the BTCC

would be good i reckon could make the ek into a BEAST ... i mean chassis wise they are already awsome but i'm sure there is so much more potential

the downfall to adjustability is that they are adjustable...sorry. But from what I have experienced so far out on track, these adjustable bits need attention, they more than not, come out of adjustment and do not send an email telling you. some places need it, some do not, I would put this into not needed category.

need not buy wicked, but they did all the work and I wish not to do the work, plug and play. to each their own.

^^^Good post, All well and good if you know what your doing with a cars geometry but if you dont have a clue where to start then dont bother, the arms posted by tama are a good compromise in that they will give good feel on what the front wheels are doing and also keep them where they should be under acceleration and braking.

rs250nut is correct, I have great feel of what the front wheels are doing and also keep them where they should be under acceleration and braking--esp under braking...lol

After looking at the arms today I have to retract my earlier post the amount of force that goes into these wishbones from the arb and the damper I wouldn't want any adjustability but a spherical bearing would be nice. This is the conclusion most company's have come to by producing adjustable top arms as they take very little load. I think a spherical bearing kit to replace all rubber bushes would be better.

really wow ... what about a custom set of top arms bettre than the stuff on the market already
