Mainshaft not spinning!

Hi guys,

Just in the middle of putting my gearbox (S4C) back together after fitting a new final drive, the mainshaft is not spinning after I put a couple of bolts into the outer casing but will without the bolts ... Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Thanks mate

I had the locater finger thingy (on the mainshaft) in the wrong position, all fixed now!

I do however have a 'rattling' noise, which sounds like its coming from the left side of the car, when accelerating, goes away when clutch is engaged =[
 
did you grease the pilot bearing? the one that goes in the flywheel?
