LSD Planetary gears

Not having a good day guys
Was supposed to have my ek9 back today or 2moro but apparantly the gearbox specialist says that the gearbox in the ek9 is unique to japan and they need to order the planetary gears from there.

Does anyone know if this is the case?? coz i thot that maybe the UKDM teg would of had the same LSD and therefor the same parts.

ek9 lsd is diferent from the sir lsd.

The LSD on the EK9 and DC2 are the same.

Slightly off topic here but could someone tell me if the LSD that came in some EK4 SiRs the same as that in a EK9 or DC2-R?

In what way are they different, is one helical and one viscious? And is the LSD from a DC2 SiR and DC2 Type R different aswell.

The SiR is Viscous and uses a different ring bolt pattern from other models. The Type-R's use a Helical LSD.

Only the Type-R's had a helical. All other factory options were Viscous (AFAIK, but I could be wrong. Would need to double check). All B16B/18C diffs are interchangeable. It is only the B16A's factory LSD's that use a special ring gear.
